well you're always welcome here :cat-heart-blob:
Hopefully! I've pretty much been reserving any serious discussion to here, and my give-aways are MC exclusive as well. It's just easier to talk about stuff here without feeling like someone is just waiting to shit on whatever at any moment lol. See: how we talk about LEFT ALIVE here Vs. how it's discussed on Era.

This is neon done right. I see a lot of games that try to get that neon-ish 80's ~ 90's vibe but they just throw a lot of purple all over the place. Wishlisted.
heck yeah! Welcome to MC btw, and lovely ACCA-13 avatar. ;)

Had a 12 month Humble subscription which I decided to cancel. They offered my $3 off my next subscription. That'll do for Mutant Year Zero

One Piece World Seeker looks fun.
For those that have been following the game, may I ask: I'm totally unfamiliar with the series. Would I be fine playing the game (do these games usually have some sort of intro that covers what I'm supposed to know?), or would I be completely lost, unless I would watch the anime, or play any other games?
Be forwarned that the game gets repetitive in time.
If you're planning on getting the game, best wait for a sale at this point.
I think it'll just have a summary of events up til the game's story. Granted it is non-canon but one is expected to know about the stuff that happened in the series up until the end of the Whole Cake Island saga at least.

If you're willing to wait that'd give you ample time to read through the manga at least. It may be 80+ volumes long but one could blast through it a lot faster than the anime (even though the anime is a great adaptation up til the end of Eneis Lobby arc)

I managed to get through the manga some time last year in say 2ish weeks?

This reminds me that One Piece Warriors 3 on Steam is one way to get an idea of the main story events at least up until the time skip.

Well, I honestly don't have patience to read 80+ volumes of manga. :p
I'll probably take your advice, and give One Piece Warriors 3 a try, to see if I can learn a bit about the franchise.

How long do you have?
One Piece is a loooong running Manga and Anime so there's an absolute ton of episodes to go through. Totally worth it though.
Hopefully someone has a link to a relevant overview of the OP universe they can post for a quick catch-up 'cos i'd want to watch it too!
As for the game, i've only played one of the Wii-U games and didn't pay much attention to the trailer aside from thinking that damn, it looks good.

edit: i see Tizoc has answered quicker and betterer than me.

ONE PIECE World Seeker and Division 2 unlocked at the same time.

Hmmm what to play first.

Oh I know. goes to bed*

*I'm old.

oof. (Currently can't browse Era during my ban and I'm too lazy to open it in a different browser.) :p

Well it's been good to be away from that place the last couple days anyway. A lot less stress I can say that much.
Not quiet sure yet if I want to go back or if I want to treat ERA like EGS.

lovely ACCA-13
Such an underrated anime. Madhouse da gawd. I should catch up with Boogiepop since I'm 5 episodes behind by now.
--

Tizoc, KainXVIII , are you boys guys familiar with DxWnd at all? The features are too many and it's not well documented. I'm trying to get Utawarerumono to run in my native resolution and I'm flying blind. Ideas?

Wow, Kaldaien of "Special-K" fame just ripped into Capcom.

"Below is a list of graphics engine bugs, quirks and places where improvement is needed in Devil May Cry 5.

I refunded this game because I cannot fix all of these things in under 2 hours work unless I have the game's actual source code in front of me, but if you would be so kind as to fix them, I will re-purchase the game and retract my current negative review."
Like damn. He's good. Should open a consulting firm for these PC ports so he can get paid lol.

Thanks! Happy to know that more people in the world knows (and hopefully enjoyed) ACCA-13!

----

Purchased F1 2018 Tuesday, ended downloading and playing it a bit now. I enjoyed it. The career mode looks so sick, I always wanted a sports game where you could give interviews after a match / race and Codemasters seems to have worked a lot on this for F1. Still, I'm crap playing it. Using my Dualshock, ended disqualified from my first race in the last lap for something that I did wrong. I'll will try to understand what happened and what I should do instead, something regarding tyres? Dunno. Still, since I got bored of Ride 2, this will do as my racing game for the go from now on.

That makes me wonder though, has someone here played the new NASCAR game? How it is? At least as a kid, I always prefered Nascar over F1 for some reason, but seems that when it comes to games NASCAR is two generations behind, at least looking at their reviews and so on.

some hilarious stuff there
I see nothing substantial, mostly things they should already have like improving the search and shit. Except that "android store" thing, I guess they wanna take on Play Store (I'm sure Fortnite mobile is popular and it has its own launcher too, you can't get it from the Play Store). What's the revenue split on Android though, what can they do to claim they're the underdog going against big bad google wolf for the developers' sake in that case? Other than just pay people to say it.

Although it makes sense, I think other stores should be gearing up for mobile versions too. Eventually they're gonna be strong enough to run PC title ports. Maybe not the latest and greatest AAA game of the time but yeah. Although it remains to be seen if people will want those on their android devices as they are now, we could be heading to a future where every device in your house will share the same OS, interface and data as your mobile so you could just sit on your couch grab a gamepad and play something without buying a separate console and such, your TV could essentially be a PC by itself. Or not, I dunno.

The answert to both of your questions is ironically yes.

This game is a non canon story with non canon setting and antagonists that has nothing to do with the manga but it uses the latest canon interactions and persons from the manga to populate the world.

All ages VN, was supposed to release today, but the developer confirms it's held up in review by Valve.

This from the same publisher which released the Adult Only, Butler Torture porn VN (Hadaka Shitsuji) just weeks ago, and which Valve let onto the store without issue.

Valve what is you doin'??? o_O I'm gonna laugh if they ban a game that would get a T rating at worst on consoles...

DXwnd? All I know of it is that one of the old Sherlock Holmes games installs it so it can run but I feel it itself is outdated and there may be one better alternative in using dgvoodoo instead. However dxwnd also controls how the mouse works in that game and that's a whole other level of crap to fix.

I only know what settings I used to run MechWarrior4: Mercenaries, it varies per game. Try asking in the forum, the creator (and others) is active there (so DxWnd is actually in very active development with new versions seemingly every other week, it's just a huge project to take on really, not outdated).
With that said all I got out of DxWnd was the ability to at least run the game under Win10 as it otherwise crashed when ran without it or with other wrappers like dgVoodoo2, I never got the windowed/fullscreen/resolution stuff working as I wanted but after discussing it with the creator it was the game doing things in a weird non standard manner he couldn't figure out in the end (plus there being different versions of the game, I was using the one re-released by MekTek with some enhancements with Microsoft's permission at the time as a freeware title, but it was later abandoned and it's no longer considered freeware).

Since then I figured out a work around for my version which lets the game work without DxWnd and running it with dgVoodoo2 instead now works and it does do what I want with the resolution (still fullscreen though, but at least it works natively and doesn't change my resolution and mess up all of my carefully aligned desktop arrangement). Have you tried it? Its interface is much simpler. Though I had trouble with the latest v2.55.4.1 so I went back to v2.55.4.

Speaking of One-piece, years ago I got to episode 200 of it and wondered what the fuck I was doing with my life and actually stopped watching anime that day haha. But I've started to rewatch Urusei Yatsura recently, the one series I never got rid of.
Only 200 episodes? Bruv I've watched a combined total of more than that over the years, but that's because I watched multiple 13-26 episode series :V

Every once in a while I think about catching up on One Piece or Naruto, but do it while following one of those "filler guides" to avoid all the filler arcs.

Maybe someday.

Of course Ive watched a ton of other anime too, it's just when watching that many of one series that I started to question my use of time.XD

More than 200 episodes over a few years? Please.
I've watched 150 Kamen Rider episodes in 1-2 months earlier this year.

Fun fact, One Piece was what got me into watching anime and reading manga as a kid.
I've stopped watching the anime ages ago, though. It's just too much of a time investment. Reading the manga is so much faster.
Bonus shoutout to the sondtrack of the german dub, which I prefer over the japanese one.

To those who want to get in to One Piece. Don't watch the anime, read the manga instead. I stopped watching the anime because the pace too slow. I stopped watching the anime after around 200 episodes. At that time I thought nothing happened in the show. Currently there are 875 episodes.
Last I read about the anime, an episode was based of a half chapter. Normally an anime that's based of a manga, each episode needs two chapters of manga content to make an episode. Currently the latest chapter is 936

If you want to get started with One Piece, read the manga, or just watch the anime until they reach Sky Island Arc. I think it was around after that arc that the anime started to get slow and boring

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I did try using dgVoodoo2 but no luck. The logo didn't pop up at all. Seems like the game is using DirectX8. I think I tried it with the WIP (.57) version, but I'll give it another go with the latest stable version. dgVoodoo2 sadly didn't produce any log files so it's kind of hard to troubleshoot.

I had a few exchanges with gho, the author of DxWnd to get the screenshot feature working for Yu-No, and he managed to get it right, so if anything else fails I'll post a thread in the support forum.

Just to confirm, for dgvoodoo you must do the following
1- Copy all 4 files from dgvoodoo's MS folder into the game's directory
2- Copy dgvoodoocpl+the other dgvoodoo file to the directory as well

Yup! That's from the era where german dubs had their own openings and insert songs.
Most of the time it was using the original japanese song with german lyrics, but I think the One Piece songs are completely new. Hell, that Grandline song was apparently only played once in the entire anime. It was on the soundtrack CD I bought though :)
Btw the singer, Frank Schindel, also did the german Digimon songs (in this case, not entirely new songs, just new voice-over), which I also very much like.

Friendly reminder there's a Digimon game coming to PC this year:

Looks like press got to watch more Shenmue3 gameplay footage we can't see. Not play it or see it played live though. Still cool stuff.

I wish we could see it but with all the irrational hate games get when they show unfinished work in progress stuff I understand why :(

+ update:
What does the Core Edition include?

Edit: Found the answer

You can only play as Kasumi, Diego, Bass, and Hitomi. All modes are accessible except story, which is DLC, other characters can also be bought as DLC either individually or by bundles, or by getting the full game at a lower price. Except for Nyotengu and Phase-4 which are their own separate DLC.

Since they want to have an android store of their own it makes sense they wish for Apple to open up their platform so they can put a store there too.

It's pretty cool that Android allows this even though there's the restriction that the store apps can't be put on the Play Store itself, which makes sense.

I'm not opposed to it but there's no reason to pretend he's fighting a good fight rather than wanting to make as much money as possible from everyone ever.

Yeah, I basically agree.

It's not great if someone is purely motivated by profit and then proudly goes around saying so. But at least they're being honest instead of covering their intentions in fifteen layers of opaque bullshit about them "caring for the industry" or whatever.

We all know Tim doesn't care about iOS users "fundamental rights," he cares about his fundamental bottom line. Which for him would be better served by Apple not having pieces of walled garden hardware, as that would allow him to create his own little walled garden kingdoms on their hardware.

No good. It's not hooking at all. I bet the .exe produced by the English translation patch had some non-standard way in hooking the DirectX dlls.

Break for dinner for now, I guess.

I think nowadays you just need to copy the relevant to the game dll files and then can simply use the "add" function in the dgVoodoo2 exe you keep wherever centrally to add the game folder for it to add the config files and everything else automatically. Also it's 3 dll files in the MS folder.

Is it true that the sexy costumes are not free?

I have seen that screenshot in CanardPC: left is free, right is part of the 85€ deluxe bundle.

It's true that most of the Deluxe costumes are sexier (swimsuits, wrestling costumes...) but in the case of Honoka she has this one free too:
So, there is free sexy stuff too. :evilblob:

The Deluxe stuff is rumored to be made available to purchase independently after the early purchase period (it ends March 31).
