I think the book that season 4 is based on is regarded as the worst of the series. But I may be incorrect...
I should read this motherfucking series !
...
Is what I think but then I look at the page count and number of volumes :fearful-face:

There is a new show here that people should check out if they can:

A psychological drama/mystery/musical set in a psyc hospital. It'll probably show up on a major streaming service soon like netflix.

If you have access to an Australian VPN you can stream it here right now.

I enjoyed Volume 2 of "Love Death + Robots":

The different art styles and the format (short stories) are really cool.

I am also watching "Sweet Home" a Netflix series from Korea about an outbreak of
something which turns humans into monsters.
The story centers around a tower block and how it inhabitants handle the outbreak.
It is really interesting to see the reactions of the different people to the crisis.
I would advise against watching the official trailer because of spoilers.

Yeah, very interested into LDR s2 ! But only 8 episodes feels short and pricey, given I would sub to Netflix only for that.
The first season was a little too long, with some really subpar episodes, but there must be a middle ground between like 18 episodes and 8 :cryblob:

Volume 3 will come out next year. If you can wait that long you will get an additional set of 8 episodes.
And you are right: Only for LDR Netflix is to costly...

Finished Series 5 of The Expanse.

Definitely preferred the first 3 seasons.

Like, season 4 has the ring, all these gates and all they did with it was pretty much on one planet, felt like a waste, and season 5 was all over the place, felt like too many different stories happening at once, and it had gone from science fiction with the protomolecule, hybrids etc to just space terrorists.
I get that theyre based on books so it is what it is, but hopefully season 6 will be better.

They already renewed Wheel of Time for a second season:

The showrunner (Rafe Judkins) also answered some questions about the series:

Most interesting bit for me:
The (8) episodes of season 1 will have a runtime between 50 and 65 minutes.

ok Netflix , this is the true history of america
For, like, thousands of years, the origins of the United States of America have remained shrouded in mystery, lost to the sands of time. Who built this ‘country tis of thee,' and why? Only the dinosaurs know… until now. For the first time in human history, the incredible, completely true story of America’s origins are revealed in AMERICA: THE MOTION PICTURE — a once-in-a-lifetime cultural event available the only way the Founding Fathers ever intended their story be told: On Netflix, on your phone, June 30th. Starring America's sweethearts Channing Tatum, Jason Mantzoukas, Olivia Munn, Judy Greer, Bobby Moynihan, Raoul Max Trujillo, Killer Mike, Andy Samberg, Will Forte & Simon Pegg.

IGN can exclusively reveal the opening title sequence for the original short-form series Chip 'n' Dale: Park Life, premiering on Disney+ on Wednesday, July 28. Comprised of three seven-minute stories, each episode follows two tiny troublemakers, Chip and Dale, trying to live the good life in a big city park while having giant-sized, sky-high adventures. Nervous worrier Chip and laid-back dreamer Dale make the perfect odd couple: they're best buddies and they drive each other nuts. In their perpetual pursuit of acorns, these ultimate underdogs are joined by Pluto, Butch, and other iconic Disney characters as they face down bullies great and small.

Two teasers for the next season of The Witcher:

A proper trailer will probably released during the WitcherCon (an event by Netflix & CD Project Red) on July 9.

Jiva! is up now on Netflix. Suggest watching this with subtitles as they speak Zulu, but overall it's engaging IMO.

I’m in a TV mood. Resumed my watching of Harley Quinn S1 and it’s a nice series. Just unfortunate that you have to jump through hoops to watch it where I’m at.
Like Willy’s Wonderland, totally MIA in France, cool cool.

So my choice is to
Subscribe to a shit ton and ever expanding streaming service plate
Pray for the content to be available or try paying a VPN
Or I can get things to watch in other ways, but again, VPN

I mean, I just wanted to pass time, not download a fucking car. Why is everything always so shitty and convoluted.

Oh, Harley Quinn ? Not available in France as I already mentioned. My only option was a fansub team, who, as evident while watching, has never heard about subs timing and only the barest grasp of English. It’s painful.

Not the ideal place to post that, but not the worst I guess : what is the cool VPN these days ? My knowledge of them stopped at NordVPN but it seems now the recommended choice is CyberGhost VPN ?
Any input ?

Not the end of the world I guess, but I would prefer paying for something that works and allow me to watch Netflix US.

I thought i'd posted this before but maybe i didn't as i can't find it when i searched.
Seeing that trailer reminded me to post the link to the well known fanedit of David Lynch's Dune (1984) by SpiceDiver in 2012. I say "well known" but it's well known in the fanedit and Dune community and nowhere else.
I'd searched for it for years after watching it years and years ago but the links were always broken and then someone posted this up on youtube back in october. Enjoy the 480p goodness.

Have a search for "SpiceDiver Dune Fanedit" for more info but the long notes in the description pretty much cover it.
I've honestly watched it a bunch of times since finding it again.
