Wellllll, technically it was leaked on march 30 if you would believe the tweet quoted above ;)
it was already the 1st in some parts of the world 😏

Looks like Puyo Puyo eSports is coming to the West as Puyo Puyo Champions on May 7th with a day 1 PC release. It was $20 in Japan so I assume it’ll be the same here.
oh shit ... that's awesome!

So, spent the day playing The Surge. I really like this game, but just as the Dark Souls games you really need to be in the right mood to play it.
I think I'm nearing the end of the second area, currently facing the second boss (some spider - looking robot thingie).

But I really need something more chill to play. I tried Back to Bed which I received for free a year or so ago.
Talk about a crappy game! Kind of easy puzzle game with really nothing going for it.

Maybe I should just start a new Factorio map and spend a few hours building railroads...

Grim Dawn is so exhausting.

Who designed the waypoints to be located so far away from each other? Such a weird decision. It forces you to play in long sessions because your summoned portal will vanish as soon as you exit the game. Sometimes, it may take me an hour, even more, to find the next waypoint and I shouldn't stop until I find it. If I exit the game before I find one, I'll have to replay the whole session all over again because the enemies will be respawned. Gah.
That didn't bother me at all to be honest. You keep your items and XP, and you can see on your map where you've already been. This means you can just rush to the point you stopped last time and continue exploring from there.

I think this came out of EA this week.
This looks great. I love trains!

I need a new controller badly. My OG wired 360 controller is not gonna last much longer. I can feel the buttons getting mushy and the DPad is getting shitier by the minute.
I'd go for an Xbone controller if you can afford it. I have two x360 controllers I use to game on my htpc and they work well (for the games that support controllers anwyay), but man oh man the XBone controller I picked up for my own gaming pc... it just feels right in a way the 360 controllers, while good, do not.

Speaking of x360controllers, is there anywhere that has layouts/setups for the different emulators and what not already designed, kinda like steam does, that isn't steam? I've been trying to get Drakan to run with a controller and it's failing. damn my love of mid 90s, games :(

I suppose one day I'll grab the wiiu adapter off amazon or somewhere and try the pro out on pc, see if it's any good.

I wonder if I'm going to finish Sekiro. I've been chipping away at the game but I can see myself not having the patience to push through.

Feels so good to finally be able to continue The Evil Within 2 after beating the demo back when it launched. Sites like cdkeys are a blessing for broke ass gamers like me.

Evil Within 2 is great. I know it didn't click with everyone, but it was one of my favorites in 2017. Hopefully we'll see a third one or a spin-off of sorts sometime in the future, but I worry the chances are slim to none.

Just tried playing Pathway and it's making a great case for the importance of responsiveness.
I stopped playing the game after an hour (and will probably get a refund) because everytime you click a menu option. make a decision or move on the map, there's a one second wait until something actually happens.

It might sound like the worlds nittiest pick, but it's makes the game feel really unsatisfying.

ITALIA-GAF -ERA -COUNCIL!

There is this boring site called Lega Nerd that published a guest post from an Italian developer, that's like a shameless plug for EGS.
I was so annoyed by the sheer amount of crap in there, that I decided to dig up my old-but-gold satirical gaming blog and relaunch it with a fucking line by line rebuttal.

(It's in Italian, duh, but maybe there are other Italian peeps around that might be interested—also yeah: it's spam, but it's literally ads-free, so it's not like I'm gonna get rich with it.)

I get the feeling that I might be misunderstanding you and that you know this already. but for emulators you can just use Retroarch. It has default configurations per core which you can then tweak. If it's a non-steam pc game you can just add it to steam and then set up a controller profile for it.

I like the music track used in the trailer!

Lega Nerd? That name alone should tell you to not give them the time of day.

Dio bono quanto mi stancano 'sti scoppiati...

I have no clue what he's going on about... I mean, most of his points are moot anyway... he made what appears to be one really uninspired game: and his upcoming release doesn't look much better

They just look generic AF.

He's basically saying that reviews shouldn't be allowed since people left negative reviews about his game and asked for a refund...
Maybe he should realize that if you make a good game, it's unlikely it'll go unnoticed for too long... I'm not saying that the storefront can't be considerably improved but, I mean, if your product blows nobody is going to buy it. Valve is not in the turd polishing business.

Edit: I found his LinkedIn page and he's been in the industry for longer than I thought... but still... here's the kind of stuff he helped develop www.artematica.com

You die as a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
Steam exclusives when?

The art style is nice and I liked the puzzles, some made you think but not too hard, never became annoying. Crap is way too harsh imo.

It seems that Girlfriend Reviews was going to get paid for today's Borderlands video, but they (she doesnt say who, but probably Gearbox) rescinded their offer 15 hours before uploading the video. Scummy as hell.

Wow yeah that's terrible of them! Popular up-and-coming channel taken advantage of. 😬

Glad I don't support Gearbox. Not even a cent to that scummy boy Randy blahblah.

How do they handle refunds for Steam based uPlay games? They just revoke the uPlay activation as well?
I'm not sure! I snagged it on Steam but tried the beta on uplay since it wasn't available on Steam. Co-exclusive Beta™!

They said a patch addressing that issue will be released on April 25.
Yeah hopefully that fixes it because, going by the open beta at least. the game's performance isn't the best even without the bug. Still the fact that this bug is only present in the Steam version coupled with their EGS exclusivity is a bad look for Ubisoft :(

i don't think they have to ... if you try to start the game directly from udontplay - it'll just tell you to GTFO and start it from steam ... so i think they only need to revoke the steam licence

It's a great series, the first was great and I really liked the dlc as well. Spending so much time without a gun made it really tense. Also, Kidman is 🔥

Controls aren't as tight as RE2 and it's not the most polished game but it's great survival horror.
RE2 kinda spoiled me because of how great it is but TEW has a lot going for it as well. I'm a sucker for this genre.
I managed to grab Soma from the give-away thread, should be right up my alley. People's generosity really blows my mind.

As for girlfriend reviews, I friggin' love that channel, I wish them all best, they are brilliant.

how much marxism is in anno 1800
It's 100% a view into the mind of a class-based capitalist.

The citizens are neatly divided into strictly different classes and these classes determine where they will work and what luxuries they will be able to obtain, upwards mobility is arbitrary and exclusively dependent on the needs of the economy, there is no metocracy or equality, the citizens will just have to win the luck of the draw if they want to go to school.

But it's fun to play.

Oh yeah, I could see the controls being a bit rough coming from RE2. TEW1 is probably my favorite of the two Evil Within games, at least story and character wise. It set up a pretty interesting world. TEW2 plays far better, but a slightly weaker story.

Kidman was definitely who I was thinking of for a spin-off if they don't continue on with Sebastian should they make another game.
