Maybe Doom 3 is next since they released to source code for id Tech 4 as well?not yet, no ... hopefully soon
(it requires the game to be EXTREMELY moddable to be able to do something like that .... for Q2 we have the actual source code - so that probably helped a bit)
Heh. Thanks. I paused it at soon as AC was revealed... I just hope I won't regret it once the smaller titles are revealed.Reminder: last day to pause your humble monthly.
Why put out Yakuza 6 before 3-5 though?Sega’s Financial results came out today. Yakuza 6 is listed once again as PS4/PC. Judgement is unfortunately listed only for PS4. I guess it wasn’t a typo after all.
this one :-D used double fine to find it :-DI tried searching if there was already a topic on it but apparently "RAD" is too short of a keyword...
i'm 100% sure it'll come eventually ... there's no reason for them not to release it on PCJudgement is unfortunately listed only for PS4. I guess it wasn’t a typo after all.
best of Japan ... coming exclusively to EGSMaybe it'll be announced this E3 Pcgaming show in another "best of Japan" announcement
yeah, i can definitely see that happening ... Doom 3 would be PERFECT for raytracingMaybe Doom 3 is next since they released to source code for id Tech 4 as well?
Producer said that they're considering it atm. It's probably extremely likely, given the popularity of Yakuza on Steam.Sega’s Financial results came out today. Yakuza 6 is listed once again as PS4/PC. Judgement is unfortunately listed only for PS4. I guess it wasn’t a typo after all.
Probably, they did say first DLC would be early summer
Well, I guess it's less painful to port a PS4 game, plus the games aren't really connected storywise. Why put out Yakuza 6 before 3-5 though?
They did the same on PS4. ¯\(ツ)/¯Why put out Yakuza 6 before 3-5 though?
The stories are self contained but saying that they aren't connected isn't accurate. They did the same on PS4. ¯\(ツ)/¯
Not like the games are connected storywise, it's more of a AssCreed situation...
Had some fun playing DOA6 (free version) for a bit. It's a good game, why is it so dead already?
The only DOA i ever played is DOAX3
Because Y 3-5 HD weren't localized and released yet.Why put out Yakuza 6 before 3-5 though?
Everything indicates that they will be released at once, either as a collection or as separate products.Well if it's still FAIRLY self contained I guess I'll jump to Yakuza 6 after Kiwami 2?
Doesn't sound ideal
Are the remasters for Y3-5 planned to be dropped all at once as a concurrent release, or individually over time one after the other?
My favorites are Honoka and Hitomi, I guess I cant escape fanserviceI tried every single 3D fighter saga and DoA is still, by far, my favorite one (especially 4). And my mains are Hayate and Hayabusa, don't really care about the fan service.
Have you tried Virtua Fighter after playing DoA? VF is what DoA bases itself on.I tried every single 3D fighter saga and DoA is still, by far, my favorite one (especially 4). And my mains are Hayate and Hayabusa, don't really care about the fan service.
You’ll need a mod. Game has been patched a few times and it hasnt messed with it but i guess its cause its just replacing images in the game.I bought Monster Hunter World on a whim, did they add PlayStation button prompts or will I need a mod?
It started out that way but I'd say DOA is really different now especially because of the defensive system. I miss Virtua Fighter. I don't think Sega will ever bring it back.Have you tried Virtua Fighter after playing DoA? VF is what DoA bases itself on.
Yeah it still works, it was neat to see someone from Era made itYou’ll need a mod. Game has been patched a few times and it hasnt messed with it but i guess its cause its just replacing images in the game.
I want to say Guilty Gear XX #R, I liked it at the time since it was character focused. Accent Core is more of a side story for characters.Speaking of fighting games, is there any with decent story mode besides the games from NRS and Naruto? I know people don't play them for that kind of stuff but I suck at combo input memorization and don't disgrace online with my presence.
I used to believe in Tekken because everyone got an FMV ending.Speaking of fighting games, is there any with decent story mode besides the games from NRS and Naruto? The only DoA based on VF was the first one, that even used the same engine. Gameplay wise they're nothing alike, VF is a lot more technical but DoA has all the counter system i love.Have you tried Virtua Fighter after playing DoA? VF is what DoA bases itself on.
Characters still float like they do in VF and the "get hit" animations are identical. The only DoA based on VF was the first one, that even used the same engine. Gameplay wise they're nothing alike, VF is a lot more technical but DoA has all the counter system i love.
Soulcalibur VI is a great choice, if you want single-player, story content.Speaking of fighting games, is there any with decent story mode besides the games from NRS and Naruto? SoulCalibur VI is a rehash of OG Soul Calibur. A literal relaunch. I was very disappointed that the game's story went back in time to 1999 instead of forward.Soulcalibur VI is a great choice, if you want single-player, story content.
And, I found Saint Seiya: Soldiers' Soul to be very enjoyable as well.
I have minimum knowledge of the manga/anime it's based on (I saw a couple of episodes of the 80's series, and that's it), but I actually enjoyed playing the single-player campaigns, which apparently are based on the different story arcs of the manga/anime.
It also has several other single-player modes (which cover other complementary bits and side-stories), a big roster of characters, and plenty of unlockables (characters, stages, music, artworks, ...) to keep you busy.
You mean this...Only a few more days till Valve VR news drops.
When does Metacouncil get a VR port?! Metacouncil could be the first properly done gaming forum, but whatever that is in a VR medium!
It's Happening!!Sega’s Financial results came out today. Yakuza 6 is listed once again as PS4/PC. Judgement is unfortunately listed only for PS4. I guess it wasn’t a typo after all.
Why put out Yakuza 6 before 3-5 though?
News might help, but ultimately it's either regulation or unionization. The US doesn't have a great track record for worker rights, so I'd assume the only chance of devs there is to form a union, despite all the resistance against it.For those following the crunch stories of the past few weeks, CBC News has put up a story about it. It's not just enthusiast press looking at this anymore. It's an evenhanded piece.
Hopefully this isn't the only instance and the noise becomes to overwhelming to avoid for the industry
I think we also should change our consumer habits. Publishers cream themselves with the thought of having their game as the #1, with copies selling by the millions, the month it is released. Maybe if we stop glorifying said feats, especially in the PC environment where games have infinite legs, things will change slowly. For those following the crunch stories of the past few weeks, CBC News has put up a story about it. I mean, even Hayashi said DoA wouldn't exist without VF, that's a fact. But that doesn't change that for me gameplay feels totally different because of the counter system, where i can win a fight without throwing a single punch (and i do it a lot against spammers). And yes, i know some VF characters also have some counters, but obviously doesn't work the same way.Characters still float like they do in VF and the "get hit" animations are identical.
It's not 1:1 but the roots are undeniable.
Yeah, the whole "do more damage from counters than actually pressing punch or kick" thing is the reason why I actually DO NOT like DOA, generally.I mean, even Hayashi said DoA wouldn't exist without VF, that's a fact. Just because its in their financial listings doesn’t mean it will be the next release, Remember the first listing was before Kiwami 2 was announced for PC.Why put out Yakuza 6 before 3-5 though?
They should also release FOTNSJust because its in their financial listings doesn’t mean it will be the next release, Remember the first listing was before Kiwami 2 was announced for PC.
Its possible 3-5 will release before 6.
Yeah ok, playing 6 next after Kiwami 2 seems a bad ideaIt's Happening!!
And lol thinking the games are standalone, they are more like chapters in a live story of one person.
2 is a bad entry point.
3 is the conclusion of the first saga but it is a fine entry point.
4 is the next saga so it all starts fresh except it all happens because the things you did in the previous games.
5 is the best set up of all the games but it's an horrible entry point direct continuation of 4.
0 ruins 5 but you all love it now.
6 is a direct continuation of the damned ending of 5 and the damn reason I need it in my life, I need to know if they are mad enough to do what they want to do with the story.
