I was going to buy the case this month, but of course they increased the price of it to just be over my budget. XD
Warning: CPU thermal design power (TDP) of 120 W exceeds CPU cooler maximum of 100 W.
I’ve not seen than before on PCPP, but it means your CPU cooler can only handle 100w of heat output from the CPU, whereas the CPU can max out at 120w.Im looking at the pc part picker site, and I get this warning, what does it mean exactly?
Oh that sucks, I like be quiet, it was cheap and small enough for the case.I’ve not seen than before on PCPP, but it means your CPU cooler can only handle 100w of heat output from the CPU, whereas the CPU can max out at 120w.
Potential thermal throttling?
The long and short: pick a new CPU cooler.
seems pretty good. If this is your first build with a mini ITX, then be prepared for the installation taking a bit longer than with a big tower, since with those, space is never an issue and you have plenty of room to route cables through. With a smaller case, that all becomes more tricky.PCPartPicker Part List

Think this is what Im going for, any ideas? I already have the case, CPU fan and power. For the GPU, by the time Ive managed to save up for it there might be the next generation of it. I know the next CPU is around the corner but I think Im still going to aim for that one. Hopefully it will go down in price by the time I will buy it.
