New week, new thread! What are you playing?

Continuing Octopath Traveler. I started completing chapter 2 of multiple characters. But before that, I went into all the job shrines to acquire the 8 secondary jobs so that all 8 party members can start leveling those up asap. I was expecting the chapter 2s would be more complex but structurally they are just rehashes of chapter 1s, except the towns are way bigger. Huh. Hopefully I will not get burnt-out. Maybe I should try venture into some optional dungeons sooner to shake things up.

Was a bit delayed, but I finally finished the original Dark War campaign in Rise of the Triad Ludicrous Edition

I've started Dragon Quest Monsters the Dark Prince, Not much to say at the moment.

I started Final Fantasy VII Remake and it alreadu surprised me with some additions to the original plot right at the start.

Edit: forgot something important, Jesse is the best girl so far.

i've also been playing Final Fantasy VII Remake a bit the past couple days, just felt like the time was right to at least try it out between the sale on Steam, the last one coming out next year, and not really doing anything else at the moment

i've only played a couple hours so haven't really gotten far into it yet, i've never played the original or really a ton of Final Fantasy games in general so not really sure how i'll feel about it(I did play 10 and most of 12 at some point like a decade ago when they released on Steam but that's about it)

i'm actually really enjoying the combat system so far to the point where I could see it carrying things for me as it opens up more even if I don't end up liking everything else all that much(which remains to be seen, I haven't really gotten to anything other than combat just yet)

I tried to get into Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection to get a JRPG experience with good production values, but the combat system seemed really convoluted and off-putting in the first couple of battles and the story does not motivate me to continue playing either ...

The backup plan is Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter or Ys X: Proud Nordics, but still trying to decide which one I will pick
