New week, new thread! What are you playing?

Yesterday I beat the last scenario of Super Robot Wars V, thus completing both ending A and B. Ending B seems to be the true ending and gave an extended post-game scene for all characters. This is the first SRW game I have ever completed and it was pretty great. Overall the game has superb animations, fun characters and story, and easy difficulty in general. I enjoyed it a lot.

I will likely go back to the game to play through the other protagonist story.

Also started playing Super Robot Wars Original Generations. It is a compilation of OG1, OG2 and OG2,5. Played OG1 a lot a few years back, but for unknown reason I dropped the game. Now I'm starting a complete new playthrough with Ryuusei Date as the protag (SRX route). Difficulty is right at the sweet spot - it can be on the harder side sometimes. Just got Cybuster and Grungust and both of them are among my favorite robots in the history of mecha design. So unique!

Give their tracks a listen. Total banger.

How is it so far?

Currently gaming on hold, but I last played Professor Layton 3 and stopped just at the final chapter.
It was alright. I played 12 scenarios so far. Still pretty much early game so they were short. I'd say the early game is relatively slow because you don't get a mothership unit until scenario 8. And I still haven't gotten the main mecha for Ryuusei (ie. R-1). But I also heard the other route (Kyosuke route) starts faster.

Only one scenario gave me trouble so far because of the enemy number and placement. I saved&loaded a few times to get everything right in that one.

I finished Final Fantasy III Pixel Remaster. 3 FF in a row is good enough for now and I need a pause from RPGs, especially since I also finished Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition. The last areas were surprisingly shorter than the first so I ended up clearing it earlier than expected

Total mishmash for me right now. Feels like I play a different game each evening and go back and forth between them. I do this sometimes when I dont wanna focus completely on one game.

Outer Worlds 2: its good! its like the first one, which I really liked. I'm not far in yet.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: got back into this, unfortunately their crappy cloud service lost my save from years ago when I last played it...so I replayed a bunch. Did run some cheats for gold and resources, because it can be such a tedious grindfest too. And ran into a potentially progression-breaking bug that seems unfixed....not great. But there's plenty of other things to do, characters to unlock, etc.

Wicked Seed: a indie RE (with some very obviously inspired outfits) with Parasite Eve 1-style-combat (I never played that game, I just read about the combat being like it). Its not bad...not a fan of the combat, but thats okay....ran some cheats to basically bypass it and focus on exploration/story. Thanks to Bhodi Li in the Steam thread for recommending it.

AssCreed Shadows: unsure if it will be able to grab me. The beginnings were interesting, but eventually the cutscene heavy nature bored me; and I didnt even get to the open world yet. But the open worlds of the last couple AC games didnt really do it for me, anyway. I havent completed any AC game since Syndicate. I think these games are just too big for the slow pace I play games with.

No Rest for the Wicked: there was a free weekend, and since the game has interested me since it came out (but some early assessments deterred me) I gave it a shot, really like it, and bought it. Awesome world, satisfying combat.

Echoes of the End: I mentioned it recently, a blend of TR-style gameplay with Hellblade-esque landscapes. Not too shabby.

SimCity 3000: I just love building cities in this game; I doubt it will ever get old :)

Wayfinder: there is a free nonweekend right now and I gave it a try because I like this artstyle (Warcraft-esque); and I like it, and bought it (it's only 7€ right now). Some people said it can be grindy, MMO-like, but once I get to those parts, I'll just drop it. It plays a bit like a third-person Diablo-like with a WOW-inspired aesthetic. It could be simpler with its myriad of systems, but its fine so far. It can also be played in Co-op for those interested.
