not sure if anyone here is playing sea of thieves but after playing a bit of battletoads last night i was informed i earned a special ship skin for that game so i guess that's something to look into if you want a battletoads ship

edit: video of it
I did DL battletoads to sample but didn't hear about the new skin. It looks good.

I never played the original battletoads and I don't see the appeal of this game, even after playing it. It reminded be of Rayman Legends, with its 2D style and hand drawn animation, which is an accomplishment in itself, but not something that I couldn't already play. Brother wants to try it out for co op time..... pretty sure I'm going to vote against it.

the old battletoads was a pretty generic beat em up that was mostly famous for having one extremely hard level. the new one just seems to be a beat em up as well but with a good animated style. it's okay but pretty simple. i've only finished act one of three so maybe more is going on with it later in the game.

i never actually played the og battletoads until i got rare replay on xbox (when is that coming to pc btw? never?) so maybe playing it decades later killed the novelty of it for me.

More than anything that chart follows RAM speed, but they should have ran the benchmark with the same RAM where possible (seriously they’re using DDR4, why not use the same sticks?
Because 3200 is considered stock on Ryzen 3000.
2966 stock on intel 10 series and 2666 stock on intel 9 series. The CPUs are also running stock clocks here.

The other, three top CPUs are overclocked, both from a ram and core perspective. It's the "top" performance you could get out of them. Though I'd consider the 3900x running at 4450MHz and 3800cl14 to be beyond good.

Amazing. I was having performance issues in a bunch of games for months and thought my PC was finally showing its age.

Turns out Microsoft just reenabled their shitty gamemode on my pc god knows when and Im just noticing now. Fucking thanks Microsoft
Fuckers have done it to me as well. I really wish Microsoft would stop treating their users like children that need to be protected from themselves.

aw, that's disappointing. I liked the art direction even if I get the Hollow Knight comparisons

The demo was neat. Will keep an eye out on it.
OTOH, the demo of this was absolutely fantastic. yeah, arty 2D cinematic/puzzle platformers are a bit oversaturated on Steam, but this is an exceptionally polished take on that subgenre

I've learned that the people approaching you like that are either new, on observation by a superior or other things are going on. I'm a bit more forgiving when they seem too eager.
I only scream when in complete rage, which has not happened often so far.

When I get angry, I'm getting more polite and cold. I'm a big guy, I did martial art for fifteen years.
Knowing that you could hurt the person screaming at you is sometimes enough.

Aside from the memes I found Crysis boring as hell (but yes, visually impressive)

Crysis 2 is the true MVP of the series.

I mean I don't scream at people who are trying to sell me something when I'm in a mood. I literally put my hand up to stop them mid pitch and walk away. Honestly, isn't my duty to be polite and engage them but I'll stop before I'll yell at them, didn't mean to give you impression that I'm screaming at sales people like a loon.

Now when someone is threatening my safety on the road or on a bicycle, no time to be polite and cold. Move so I don't get run over and I want to make sure you hear me.

Crysis also egsclusive, lmao
Welp.

The Crysis series has such a weird fucking history with PC gaming. First it was the savior, the shinning tower on the hill, the second entry was just another big release watered down for consoles, the third entry it sort of got its graphic and gameplay mojo back but landed smack in the middle of an earlier 'PC storefront war', then the series moved back to steam/other platforms and now the franchise is dove right into the EGS war.

Whew.

From what I'm reading the PC version of Crysis Remastered is based on the console port from many years ago with graphics updated.

Meaning the ultra shitty consolized nanosuit mode are back that made Crysis 2 and 3 one of my biggest gaming related dissapointments.

The nanosuit console mode wheel is the worst thing that happened to the Crysis series. It killed it for me.

Also no word on MP which I played a ton.

Why the fuck is it so damn difficulty to not fuck up Crysis.

Crytek never cared about their games either, Crysis Wars has being shutted down along with gamespy, aside from Crysis 2 no one of their games has ever received an update or something like that and on Steam Crysis is still 32 bit instead of 64
I swear there is a reason if they're on the verge of bankruptcy...

yeah, and it's even funnier now since:
a) it won't be on origin
b) epic makes ue4 ... and crysis runs on cryengine :p

I completely forgot about Crysis Wars. Thats what happens when you let it die off.

Kind of a like the whole franchise before this year.

In the age of remasters Crysis 'remastered' could have been a slam dunk for newer pc gamers but I guess they needed the money.

We're going to hear endlessly about how well this does on EGS aren't we? this is the next Borderlands for the store I can feel it. Even if it doesn't do Blands3 numbers, it'll still be the next big game.

Not at all sure that this does well on EGS. After all, Crisis is essentially a dead franchise and this remaster push is an attempt to shock it back to life.

Yeah, but it is also coming with Ray Tracing and DLSS 2.0

I understand you fantomena , but I'm still annoyed. I was actually excited for the remaster and a possible "old" crysis revival.

Could somebody clear something up for me? To this very day I thought EA is holding the rights to Crysis.

I was always under the impression EA was only a publisher/distributor and Crytek held the rights, EA just did most of the PR work

If Crytek is holding the rights, I should have seen going this EGS exclusive a long time ago.
I thought it's EA and with EA being on Steam and EA Access launching soon, I assumed it would be an excellent EA access launch title.

Fairly big, open environments, cool environmental destruction and great gunplay, it was always a really good, altho not mind blowhing videogame beyond the graphics

I liked it, played it many years after it was released. Had some good open levels and obviously looked really nice. Story was pretty ok. First half or so of the game was better than the last IMO.

Anyone notice odd textures on the hair or some clothings in the Avengers beta? I didn't have the latest nvidia driver so I'll update and see if they show up again >_>;

Before you fight aliens, it's a really well paced open world shooter with great gunplay, even an intriguing bit of fan fiction-level story Then you fight the aliens.
honestly, i found Warhead better overall.

I saw the EGSxclusivity for Crysis coming miles away, but Im still dissapointed.

Crysis is one of my favorite games of all time.
Don't give up m8! From what I've seen the remaster isn't even worth it. Just play the original again with a bunch of mods. 😀

This. Crysis was great at the time but looking back, I prefer Stalker, Far Cry 5 and the newer Deus Ex games in the genre. Warhead was more fun start to finish.

I agree, I enjoyed Warhead much more than the original Crysis, which was only fun in the first few levels. These levels were extremely good tho, so many possibilities! That was truly unseen at that time...

Well if the consolized nanosuit mode is in the PC version I have no intention of getting the game on Steam either.

Original nanosuit >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>updated graphics, dlss, ray tracing etc.
