If you live in the US and have a GameStop near you I would recommend going there and pre-ordering some figures. They gave a daily deal and something are $80USD off just for pre-orders. So stuff like a a figma that is normally $90USD is just $60USD and stuff like that.
You can also order online. The difference is that in store you can just do a down payment of something like $5USD if you prefer.

That one's Girls Front Line PA-15 figure sure is very very lewd.... I don't play the game but do they at least give special skins to the actual guns themselves?
Sorry, think I have misunderstood your meaning. Most of the girls have multiple skins, but the guns don't. Sometimes the appearance of the gun may change between skins, but these skins are not common.
I figured as much, yeah with gacha games there will always be skins for the characters. But seeing how the game focus on guys you might think that they would try to make those look nice as well. Maybe that sort of stuff is just not popular in Japan?
I have not payed attention to Call of Duty or R6S and how they do their skins buy stuff like CSGO has some really nice skins. Compared to stuff like Valorant where I hear the gun skins are very meh.
Yeah, guns (and violence in general) are never a big thing in Japan. Actually GFL is not too successful in Japan, compared with other gacha games like Azur Lane.
Btw, GFL is actually made by Chinese and it is very popular among Korean. Probably due to the conscription system in Korea, they are way more into military stuff than Japan.
Since there are many mobiles games I'm not always familair with which ones are from Japan, or from China. There are just so many of them.
The whole conscription thing is interesting since I know that there are a few webtoons where that is a part of the story
Yeah... especially when many of them look like Japanese games. I think the some of the current notable Chinese games are Genshin, GFL, Azur Lane and Arknight. There are some others but I can't remember all of them either.

As a total illiterate regarding Japanese and a n00b to buying these figures after seeing them for years i have some questions, lol.
How do i keep an eye out for when they go on pre-order? How do i pre-order from the UK? Are there any good foreigner-friendly sites to look out for? Any guides to help register etc for these things?

The way that I do it (I'm from the US). Is that I buy my stuff from a site called Tokyo Otaku Mode (TOM). They have made some changes over the years.
What I liked about them is that they would have figures available for pre-order around the time that they are available on other sites. The best thing about them was shipping. I would get free shipping on orders of $150USD+. So I could buy 10 $15USD figures and not only would they ship independently buy also for free!!!!! Since I have a PO box and because of changes they no longer do that. I would have to have them shipped to my house for them to still let me do that.
The UK does have this one anime store that you might be able to find (I forget it's name though) other wise there are places like AmiAmi (I don't use them because of shipping cost) and there is also PlayAsia as well but they are very expensive when it comes to shipping.
Here's my way

EdwardTivrusky Reading about how GOODSMILE handled Fubuki's figure last year, there was a pre-order period for about a month. I think they probably going to release it one by one instead of all at once, so it'll be easier on the wallet, --still have to aside 10K yen per figure at the very least though-- and not factored in shipping via FedEx or DHL since EMS still isn't restored (AFAIK)

The Fubuki figure is only published by Goodsmile and the manufacturer is Luminous Box, a relatively new Chinese brand. I also can't find any photos from mfc users regarding their first product (Fubuki is second). So unfortunately no one really knows the quality of their figures.
I'm kind of curious myself, so I'll try asking in the Hololive Fan Discord to see if anyone have one. The figure I'm after is from Max Factory and they're a known quantity, at least.

Got myself a desktop army model kit from a local store. Heard a lot of bad things on the build quality and it is only recommended to veteran model builder, but the product line has some cool subjects and this one is discounted. It sounds like a good first-time trial and nice challenge so I got it eventually.

This new product line from Bandai is very interesting! It's a multi-media work covering plastic models (guns and humanoid) and live-action TV shows. In the show, the characters are transformed into guns for their users to wield. Not sure with the TV show, but I like the model kits design a lot.
Does this mean this is relevant now?

Looking at other stores prices for it seems to be around $400USD for it. Over here in Aus one of the the major retailers is selling it for $1000 [UWSL]

Nice haul! Yes, I remember the msrp of this Albedo is very expensive. Not sure if TOM asked for an over-aggressive price though.
The RWBY one should be pretty cheap as it is from Pop Up Parade line. Quality-wise it can't be compared with those figures priced over 10k, but imo it is still pretty competent.
