ZKenir I had a super quick look at the LECoal source and it doesn't look like there's any comment processing at all. It looks for empty lines, square brackets and key-value pairs anything else makes it grumpy.

Anyone else have this issue when launching Steam that you get an error window about the Vulkan api? Been happening off and on for months :thinking-face:

Started Nioh for backlog blitz.

I need to stop trying to play it like a Souls game, because it's 100% not that.
Nice, it's a great game, hope you enjoy!

I recently did all the achievements, was a bit of a grind at the end but overall it was a fun challenge.

Oh great, Windows 10 update nuked my contacts app.
Not a trace of it. Have to open the mail app to get to it.
Cool.
Yeah, not sure why they did this. Very odd.

Cool.
They nuked it a while ago. Apparently telemetry said most people used it via mail so they nuked it as a standalone app in windows 10 but you can still get it via mail, calendar and whatever other applications used "People" so why they nuked it as a standalone thing is moronic... but that's modern Microsoft for ya.

In the weekly-or-so "WTF is the Windows team doing" corner I just noticed this:

Apparently Discord is using 156 GB of dedicated GPU memory, the desktop window manager is "just" using 35 GB, and even visual studio is at 1.6 GB.

Googling points to this being a Windows 10 bug which has been known for years. Amazing.

The more I look at how Windows 10 is being managed, the more I believe the baseless rumours/ideas that they will just abandon it all and make Windows 11 (or whatever they call it) into a Linux distro.

Sony's port teams should speak with Bioware about how to do upgraded pc ports, given what Ive heard about ME:LE
Also, did my part to put Doom Eternal Deluxe in that list. Couldn't turn it down at that price. Now to find time to play it...

That has to be a bug, or is this a cumulative usage across time? Because waterfox is using 141gb right now and I don't believe I've seen that many sticks of memory in my laptop :p.

The fact that my 24+ old habit of keeping an Windows only partition/drive so I can quickly do a clean reinstall is still useful today says a lot of the state of the OS... (before that you could do a "deltree /y c:\windows"... and yes, I dated myself a little here :p )

I mean, every time the store/app system gets corrupted it is waaaaaaaaaaaay easier to just reinstall.

As for this specific bug... well, it says that Firefox is using 3.4 GB of dedicated VRAM so yeah, not that really valid info. But hey, at least is a lot better than the one I have where File History (which still can be accessed in both the "modern" settings and the old Control Panel) bugs out if try to clean files older than a certain age.

I'd forgotten how intense diving deep in Subnautica can be. Playing Below Zero and those dark depths are freaking me out a bit.

Game is good so far, very similar to the first but with a bit more polish.
I'll definitely pick up Below Zero eventually, as Subnautica is in my top ten faves of this past decade.. maybe ever? It's so good. And terrifying. Seriously, as someone who has a bit of a fear of open water, deep sea, underwater cliffs, yeah the whole megalophobia and thalassophobia stuffs, sweet jesus this game was INTENSE. And I loved every moment of it.

Not been as active here as I want to be. Having an exam on 1st june which will hopefully be my last exam, so I basically use most of my day to read and the other part to watch different food videos on YT like this one as a break from the reading. Meaning I have barely had any progress in any games or tv shows for the last week.

Always find street food to be really fascinating and exciting.

Im exactly the same. The first one was probably the scariest game ive ever played but so enjoyable. The sense of exploration was amazing. Yeah i'd put it in my top 10 games of all time probably.

Oh yeah, I need to do more VR stuff to make sure it works nicer with my better SSD.

It's good that Sony seems to have learned the right lessons from the Horizon's fallout.

Is the actual game of Days Gone any good? Seems like it's not really remembered fondly compared to most other big Sony games.

Valhalla DLC is pretty much more of a good thing, so I'm pretty happy with it so far.

I haven't played it yet but the game was in a rough state at launch which hurt it a lot. After they fixed it opinions improved a lot and according to many impressions I've read it's a great game now.
