Project Downfall, a retro-style, cyberpunk, reflex-based first-person shooter with adventure elements, is available now for PC via Steam Early Access for $15.99 / €12.39, publisher and developer MGP Studios announced. The final version will also be released for Xbox One and Switch.
Welcome to a vision of the world on the edge of decay—a world in which the biggest political and economic clash since the Cuban Missile Crisis is now emerging. The European Union is in disarray. France and Germany are each embroiled in their own brutal civil wars. Poland and Hungary, on the other hand, have joined the Novorussian Federation. This new political power has, naturally, triggered the creation of its exact opposite – the Pact of the Transatlantic States, brought to life under the supervision of the United States to stop the crisis and become an alternative for an already weakened European Union.
To save declining government budgets, those in charge have started to look for ways of squeezing more from citizens already exhausted to the limit, and they have finally come up with a seemingly perfect solution: meds. Everyone capable of working is forced to routinely take medication prescribed by doctors in accordance with the newly adopted law. The meds program is aimed at creating a more efficient workforce.
Nothing comes without a price though: all chems have their side effects and sometimes just a tiny dose is enough to push you down the path of no return – one that will prove to you that an overdose of reality can have dire consequences.
Project Downfall is a retro-style, cyberpunk, reflex-based shooter with adventure elements, where the key to successful gunplay is to use cover and your pills at the right time in any given situation.
Self-medicated and low on ammo with no time to reload – and facing an enemy reloading right in front of you? Dash up to him and smack him with a self-medicated kick to send him flying. Dodge incoming bullets for a score multiplier. And rip enemies to shreds with your huge arsenal of weapons, including several different shotguns, a minigun, a berretta, a katana, and even a lead pipe.
Key Features
- A fast-paced shooter that will test both your reflexes and quick thinking.
- A non-linear story with multiple endings set in a cyberpunk, dystopian future that will be added during the Early Access development.
- Unique, trippy, retro-style visuals.
- An original soundtrack dynamically adapting to what’s happening on-screen.
- A combo system based on self-prescribed pills, which opens a new dimension for you – a special Focus Mode, slowing down the action—crucial to your victory in combat.
- A large weapons arsenal including several different shotguns, a minigun, a berretta, a katana, and even a lead pipe.
- Lots of fun ways of dispatching your foes, or “cannon fodder” if you will.
- The Superkick! Give your opponents a quick and completely free flying lesson!

How is Gwent going? I mean, probably better than Artifact since one of the Artifact streamers I followed went back to it but I never hear much talk about it. Also don't really have any interest of starting it because as a standalone game it is too dry for me.There is a trailer for the first expansion of Gwent, with vampires.
Looks much better than the initial footage from back when it got announced, I guess the delay has paid off, I'm looking forward to it now.New Team Sonic Racing trailer showcased customizations in the form of the vehicles' looks from its colours, changing parts and even vinyls!
You can make your vehicle have golden parts too, and you can also customize the horn sound.
Really psyched for this game X3
not even trying to hide it anymore ...There's Steam offering Valve games, Origin offering EA games, Battle.net offering Activision and Bungie games, Epic Games offering games from many publishers.
That full caps PROCOMPETITIVE made me laugh out loud
Developers have been listening to player feedback since the big remake last November: the game has been made smoother and faster, it seems to be heading in the right direction. It now feels closer to what I liked of the game during open beta, with shenanigans around the pass system and card advantage between rounds. How is Gwent going? Steam has only Valve games now? Nooo....yeah ... this is just rich ... especially this bit:

I think he meant exclusive games. Which is bs anyway, nobody really complained when they had Fortnite and Unreal and Paragon and such on their own launcher and nobody complains Blizzard has World of Warcraft and Overwatch on their own launcher. It's different when they're not even funding game development but just taking games already funded, already mostly finished, sometimes with the help of the community as in crowd funded games, and just giving them a bag of money to make them exclusive after the fact with essentially zero risk as they choose the games that can give them the mindshare required to make the investment worthwhile (as I'm sure they aren't making profit on sales yet).Steam has only Valve games now? no, i believe he's talking about their ultimate goalI think he meant exclusive games. Which is bs anyway, nobody really complained when they had Fortnite and Unreal and Paragon and such on their own launcher and nobody complains Blizzard has World of Warcraft and Overwatch on their own launcher.
i believe Sergey said their goal is to release 1 game per day (which still only makes it 30 per month ... while Tizoc's threads usually have around 200-300 games listed EACH MONTH ... and those are only the interesting and noteworthy games, not everything)If he wants to have all the games he'll need to release a hell of a lot more than 1 a month
i've got nothing ... sorryAny suggestions?
hmm finally checked the game itself ... looks pretty nice ... like medieval 3d factorioEDIT: lashman could you post the Twitter post from the Factory Town creator about how approached websites to preview his game, or such?
I'm really interested in getting this one but I have zero experience with those kind of games. How complex is it?hmm finally checked the game itself ... looks pretty nice ... like medieval 3d factorio
great to see it doing good .. lets hope the EA phase wont take too long
Bummer.i've got nothing ... sorry
Me too, but how come the ESRB never lists the PC version? It was announced for Windows right? Are they just not submitting that version to ESRB maybe? Or is it gonna be delayed?
