Had to disable the screen flashes in Great Ace Attorney. It was like getting an eye exam.

I feel like everyone seems to miss the point of Duke being the butt of the joke in anything that isn't DNF circa2001.. Whomever cancelled this, made the right decision though.

wtf there's 43k concurrent players in payday 2 on steam?!
holy crap that game is popular
I've never played but own a copy, is there any real strategy or tactics involved or does it really boil down to how long it takes to be an all our gun battle?

I got FF1-3 on GMG on launch day or shortly before launch? For me it still included the pre-order bonus, but dunno if they still include them. The bundle on Steam is indeed a complete your collection type of bundle, though personally I'm just gonna wait for FF4-6 on GMG as well.

Worth noting that the pre-order bonuses are only 3 music tracks and 2 wallpapers per game. The music tracks are special versions that start as the original NES/SNES versions and transition into the pixel remaster versions.

On another note, there's a pretty nice font mod in the community hub, it replaces the awful default font with a FF6 styled font:

There's also a bug with the games always starting in windowed mode, using the following command in the steam launch options for the games fixes that:
-popupwindow
It immediately looks 10x better with this font.

updated the thread with the information

I noticed, unless Im mistaken, that associated apps with the Playstation curator page increased with 3 apps, Uncharted Collection + 4 + LL?

Anyways, maybe Sony is prepping a colossal Playstation + PC announcement with what their PC strategy is. Last PC annoncement was in february (Days Gone).

Now all it needs is some mods to replace the entirely too smooth blue gradient with something else and the button icons could be more fitting as well and we are in business.

I'm sorry for the long tweets but I think they are worth the content giving the current behaviour on regional pricing.

40 bucks for a 10 year old niche game is certainly... something.
Well, price never reflects the age of a product. Being a customer, I certainly hope things are as cheap as possible. But reality is that it is never easy (or possible) for a small developer to price a game like this as competitive as, let's say. Persona 4. It is a very, very niche title that not many people are interested in buying. Lowering the price wouldn't increase the volume that much either.

This is super weird.
As far as I'm aware, nowadays you can only change your region once every 3 months and you need a payment method that matches your billing address, which has to be in the country of the region you're switching too.
That doesn't sound like something you can do easily.
And yeah, I remember some articles about how Steam "kicked out" a lot of people from Argentina in particular.

I suppose if you could find some payment source that Steam accepts as being from Argentina, like some prepaid digital credit card, then you could just permanently stay in Argentina region, even if you live somewhere else. That would go around the 3 month thing.

If it is indeed a loophole with the payment service, then I'm not sure how Steam can address this really. Hard IP geolocking?

Couldn't be that the game cultivated a fan base right there for some reason?
Because honestly it's a 3,7€ game, I couldn't believe that so many people are putting their account at risk for such a low amount of money..that or I'm delusional as fuck.

The price of those is clearly in the impulse purchase range in the UK, but maybe I'm rich and thinking I would spend more than that on random crap from a shop on any day of the week. I also don't region hop at all but the prices arn't even anywhere near worth bothering with on a surface level. No idea if they are driving people from other currencies where it might be more expensive?

Edit: surely the reasonable thing to do is approach Valve and question what is happening. And also see if other Indies have the same issue and get them to raise it as well. Random bitching on Twitter is well, just random bitching with no real end-game.

also i honestly have no idea what any "permanent and absolute fix" would achieve ... i can only assume all those devs are expecting this chart to look like this after the fix:

when in reality it would just look like this:

and, as a bonus - one galaxy-brain-level idea here:

and i'm not even excusing region jumpers or anything ... fuck 'em ....

but i just don't see a solution to this that somehow magically moves all (or even half) of those people to their respective regions with legit pruchases, that's all

I really don't know which of the two games reflected the data but my guess would be the cheapest when it gets on sale that being "Over 9000 zombies".

The reasoning for this is rather simple. 0,06€ in ARG and the game has Steam trading cards so I assume people just try to get the game for "free" technically by selling the cards back in the market.

Reason: Added another tweet reflecting a most than probably outcome of no sales.

Yeah, I saw JaseC's comment and checked, I ended up focusing more on the follower number and the banner change than on the game number xD

But yeah, I would say it's quite possible one of those is actually a new game (or more than one) as I don't think Predator is getting any new DLC soon.

40 bucks for a 10 year old, short, linear game that was pretty mediocre beyond its visuals is a very hard sell for me.

I can understand circumstances - hell maybe they had to pay fees for the pants again - but that isn't making it any better.

I'd be glad to have any sales at all with these 'games'.

Any proof of region switching? Thought so, Lemcke.

If you look at any card transaction in the market you can see an increase since the summer sale (when it also had the same discount). I guess it checks out ... maybe?

Yep, it's a hard sell to me as well. On one hand, I am happy that it is coming to steam, but on the other hand, this game is not going to suddenly light the world on fire whatever the price point. Hopefully they did not expect big numbers.

That price point for El Shaddai is really dumb. I'll probably still go for it, but that high price will reduce sales by more than the higher price point will ever make up for. Game devs really need to hire or work with some proper market analysis people. It's such an important variable, and I really get the impression all it's often based on is wishes and dreams.
