What the ? We still on page 1 ? We slacking !

Personally the only sure thing is Forza Horizon 5 on game pass. I have to be very picky with my budget in these times of rising prices for everything and glorious Deck next month.
I… would really like to add a new mouse, B4B was painful with the lovable PossiblyPudding yesterday (wheel scroll to change weapon… hey surprise, dying wheel, it’s the same weapon again. Repeat x2-3 times to effectively get the other one).

Randomest thought of the day.
I should start using a FTP software to transfer files from my mother's PC to mine. It was already a pain and super unreliable to set up this shit on Win 10, I can't even imagine what surprise MS will throw out with Win 11.

As far as I may have understood, you need to create an account for the other person on your Windows. But for one I may very well have misunderstood, and there is only one user on MY PC, ME, as it should be, motherfucker :coffee-blob:

I really do have different way of playing games than most people XD people are finishing Guardians of the Galaxy in 12-15h, meanwhile i finished Chapter 6 after 10.5h (that is not even half of the game) XD
The final chapters are shorter, but 12h is really rushing it in my opinion. 15-17h is what I would call "reasonable". I took me 19.1h but that include two crashes, the traditional fiddling with settings and dicking around one or two endless enemies waves to get a few achievements.

Still missed a few collectibles... but that's ok because this is a game that I will definitely be replaying later (or maybe not so later if you keep posting those screenshots :p )

I'd like to hit 150 games completed on Steam by the end of the year, which means I need to knock out another 11. Gonna be tricky...

As for this month going to get FH5 on Steam and looking at grabbing Lost Ark since they lifted the region restriction on Aus and the CBT is coming up at the end of the week.

I've used mine for like 4 years now? No complaints. Quality mouse with lots of plenty of programmable buttons. I hear the newer software for it is bad so I'm still using the old "Logitech Gaming Software" to remap keys. I've also read that people have had double click issues with this mouse, but like I said it's been good for me.

Logitech G Hub ?
Yeah, I think that's the one.

Also, I don't have the Hero but the older Proteus Spectrum. I assume they're comparable.
Remembered my main/only issue with it: the rubberized and textured sides. Catches a lot of hand gunk so it's a little impractical. Requires a good cleaning now and then to not feel gross.

I've just upgraded from Windows 10 to 11 on my unsupported PC thanks to this MediaCreationTool. It took like one click, went without a hitch and seems to function as before no different to some of the larger Windows 10 version updates. The new Start and such do take a while to get used to but I got it how I had it before (sans functions it doesn't have, you seemingly cannot make different groups and folder style arranging in the pinned programs so I dumped it all in the order I want instead). I also disabled some new stuff from startup (Microsoft Teams). My current annoyance is the right click context menu with that "show more options" deal, I just want everything on the first click. Widgets were broken too but I just disabled it all as usual. Also, why do I have to scroll twice for my pinned to Start items when there's plenthy empty space to show it all instead of that optional Recommended/recent stuff it has there (which I didn't enable naturally).

Rockstar Mag’s Chris, who has been a reliable source for leaks regarding the GTA series, has shared some details about Grand Theft Auto 6 and Red Dead Redemption Remastered.

According to Chris, Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently in development hell. Rockstar has restarted its development right after Dan Houser left the company. Not only that, but Take-Two was originally planning to announce the game in 2020.

As Chris noted, Rockstar has changed the story and other game elements too many times since 2019. From the looks of it, GTA 6 is the most chaotic project Rockstar has ever developed (and even worse than the original Red Dead Redemption game).

Lastly, Chris claimed that Rockstar is working on Red Dead Redemption Remastered for current-gen consoles and PC (Chris did not say for which platforms this remaster will come out. Since this is a long way off, though, we can assume that it will come out on current-gen consoles and PC). This remaster will be similar to GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition. In other words, it won’t be a mere “resolution increase” remaster, and it will feature new graphical features. Chris also believes that this remaster won’t come out anytime soon.

Allow me to randomly mention an early access game that I picked up a while back:

Remember those "janky" Eastern European games that had all sorts of gameplay mechanics and a huge scope, with barely any budget, which resulted in ambitious, ridiculously creative, but frequently unpolished (and sometimes downright broken) games?

Well, this one reminds me a bit of those games. It's a game that combines all sorts of gameplay mechanics. You have stealth elements, kind of like in Hitman. You have big, open maps. You have some construction, and crafting elements. And a story. Oh, and you play as a Raccoon. o_O

I played the earlier versions for a few hours, and the game was surprisingly big in scope, and in the variety of gameplay mechanics, and visually it didn't look too shabby.
It lacks polish, so a few things are, and probably will remain "janky", since it's a low budget game, by a small developer. But I'm quite looking forward to the "final" version.

For the low price tag, I would say it's worth a look, and following its development.

Tetris TGM?
Tetris The Grand Master. It was an arcade release of Tetris that was designed to be exceptionally difficult, but also designed with a lot of good QOL features that made it very fair. It got two sequels, TGM2 and the wonderfully named TGM3 Terror-Instinct, each of which got more QOL stuff and also became far more challenging. It sounds like all 3 of them are getting ports of some sort.

GDQ did some impressive exhibitions of the TGM games, if you're interested in seeing what it's like.

Thanks for the thread, lash~

Sega talking about partnering with MS to create a "next-gen development environment" when their japanese side arguably doesn't even have a current gen one (with which I mean multiplatform development for pretty much everything that's possible) does not inspire confidence.

Well.. this is certainly the "fuck I'm old" moment of the day for me.

Just realized that the old 256 GB SSD I'm currently using as a boot drive for my router/nas/plex/etc server has now 9.2 years (80981 hours) of power on time.

So... how much do we know about long term reliability of SSDs besides the whole "bytes written" part?

And yes, I'm fully aware that it will probably blow up when it reaches 9 years and 11 months.

G502 is a great mouse! I would recommend it to everyone who asks. Newer versions use worse switches than the old Proteus Core, so they will wear down quicker but there are plenty of tutorials online for fixing them.

Random, but is Steam chat laggy for anyone? It's always laggy for me. It's a bit annoying when typing and having to wait to see if I made a typo. I'm not sure if there's something I can do to fix it.
I have the same issue, it is annoying as shit. Haven't found a fix for it yet.

prudis sorry will ask here, your account was hacked? you asked me this in steam

"Recently i made a team in csgo and we have a kind of tournament before playing so can you vote for my team (Beast) "

and send some weird ass link to intel winter
Oh, I just got the exact same message from him. Asked in PM earlier if it's him or he got hacked, but I guess hacked seems more likely now. :/
(Sorry if genuine, but I really don't trust any CS:GO/DOTA related stuff I get via Steam Chat out of the gate, specifically if it asks me to login somewhere).

I could try following a pixel art tutorial and gain some knowledge on the process. I want to make a laid back man in a chic costume with red tentacles for a head.
I could also retry Blender.
But that would require some drive :confounded-face:

Because right now the plan sure as hell looks like to be do nothing at all.

I went way overboard this sale...
If I buy more games in the near future (except that Darius compilation), feel free to hit me.

Here are some of the stuff I picked up (excluding DLCs), in case anyone wants some possible game suggestions:
