Regarding that new Starfield video, I know Todd Howard is a bit of a meme -- and he has said and continues to say some very silly things -- but at the same time it's still somewhat nice to have someone in a position like that who actually does still care about the games. (I'm well aware that he probably cares about the money significantly more, but I personally don't believe he's faking his enthusiasm for at least some aspects of game development, and that's more than you can say about other leaders at large publishers)

Well having that much freedom helps. He is treated well and other big developers in other studios still feel corporate boot on their heads no matter how big they are.

While I wouldn't call Bethesda's games "the pinnacle of the RPG genre" or anything , they are kinda unique in making incredibly immersive and atmospheric games that you can really get lost in. The only thing that's harming them in this respect in my view is the often terrible QA and the resulting tons of bugs you run into until fan mods fix most of them.

So the smartest choice is always waiting until a couple of years after a game launches and playing it with mods.

Thinking about getting the ME Legendary Edition on voidu for 25€, what was the opinions on the remakes?
Do they need a powerful config?

Valve has provided IGN with a comment about the reported Half-Life shooter-strategy game:

"It’s good to view [Valve News Network content creator Tyler McVicker's] coverage with a healthy dose of skepticism. We think it’s important to reiterate that while Tyler is a passionate gamer, he has no inside information about what goes on at Valve. As you know, any important announcements on projects that we are or aren’t working on will come directly from us."

A Half Life game focused on the Deck soundsway too sensible to be real.
More likely than not, I think it's just some internal test thing to see how much they can push the Deck hardware, for which you'd want to write some new native tech demo.

It's not like those things have to be contradictory, I like money too!

Imagine how tired must be Valve for them to do any comment, holy smokes.

Hopefully, at worst, they start focusing on the ""o" in the "gog" acronym again. I would hate to see them close up completely. If they can survive their rough beginnings and druids closing the store, they should be able to survive cdp having a fiscal slump that they are a part of.

I say this as they are my preferred store, where i will hold off on steam versions of a game at cheaper if i can get a gog version instead.

I'm not sure how many desirable "Old" games are easily able to be tracked down and licensed which i suspect is a bit of a problem.

Before this happens, we want to reassure this awesome community that we are still hard at work on the previously-mentioned project with Colossal Order, but we are not yet at a point where we are ready to share more information on it. Our upcoming news and announcements are not related to that project nor do they affect that project’s timeline. We are really excited to share the upcoming Cities-related news with you soon, we look forward to continuing to play and share our creations together, and we are in awe of the inspiring directions you take the game into!
basically ... more dlc coming , not ready to unveal CS2 yet

Post a list of stuff to put in the OP and someone will make it. I know nothing for December unfortunately but we need a Saints' Row The Third Santa reference and Saints' Row Christmas Jumper pic for sure.

If that's the sole purpose of the site again, it would likely get a bit easier. They have a wider net of contacts now. Sure there will always be issues like NOLF, but even getting more games from publishers like EA, Activision, ubisoft, etc that aren't on the service. Or getting Microsoft onboard. THQN is basically sitting on huge back catalogues from all the acquisitions they've made GOG could mine further..

I'm not saying it's easy, but it would definitely be to their advantage to go after those games again.

Man, Reshade is really the game changer. Normally I don't use it, but sometimes it is a must when playing games without any graphic options, like Agarest: Generations of War. The original color is very washed-out. With Reshade, the game becomes more pleasing to the eyes.

PC, best platform ever!

Damn I want to play Minecraft java on my Mac but I'm thinking that java seems kind of a dead end when it comes to longevity, since in the future I would like to play the same world but with different people and different devices and bedrock is a must for that.

So much stuff I want to buy this sale but nothing I want to play right now. Currently playing Fallout 3 goty which only cost a couple bucks on Eneba. and also got cheap key for the Disney Classics. With Halo Campaign soon I have plenty to play so I got like 10hrs to figure out if I should buy something :coffee-blob:

We are now here forever, stuck in the November limbo :dizzy-face:
Very tough for those doing No Nut November.
