Can't remember the last time there was a big must have choice bundle so my expectations are low.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if its the worst bundle ever meh :cautious:
I unpaused yesterday despite not wanting the bundle because they offered me 3 months for 6$ so yeah, I expect the next three months to be trash...

It's interesting to see the Sony PC ports talk in here evolved from "oh man, I can't wait to see if it happens" to theorize what's next from them, you know?
We went from not really knowing what was going to happen to more or less have a full picture of what has come, what's confirmed and what's about to come (thanks leaks) in 2 years we went from 0 to:

-Horizon Zero Dawn.
-Days Gone.
-God of War.
-Uncharted 4/LL

It's absolutely mind-blowing, and we more or less know about Sackboy and Tsushima among others thanks to leaks like Nvidia database, so yeah, amazing to see.

As for Uncharted, it is a shame that they didn't port 1-3 collection to PC but at the same time they didn't port them to PS5 so, while it's sad to see that we won't have the complete saga at launch day, we have what I consider the best 2 games of the saga, and yes, as some of you mentioned, it is not necessary to play the previous ones to enjoy 4 and Lost Legacy, HOWEVER, a big part of 4 is to know what happened in previous entries because it emphasizes in the relation between characters.

ANYWAY, Uncharted rocks, GOW rocks and you should all give them a chance! :blobevening: :evilblob:
No worries I'm working on that. Playing 1-3 in RPCS3 at a glorious 18 fps lmao

fights in thights is grear
I was going to make a joke about Atelier Ryza crossover DLC being called "Fights in Thigh Spaces" but that would be crass and i'm above such lowly behaviour.

We've got 3 weeks until the end of the year so plenty of time for GNOSIA to drop or for them to announce a delay.
I'm going to buy it and be rubbish at it regardless of when it's released.

Huh, I just realized the Forgotten City is 50% off at Humble (plus an additional 20% off for subscribers). That seems pretty darn low from what I have usually seen.

Dang, this was a price mistake and the price went back to normal. I should have jumped on it when I saw it, but I thought it might have been a sign it was going to be a Humble Choice game.

New information about the Uncharted Legacy of thieves collection.

We’re excited to share our latest trailer for Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, remastered for PS5 and coming to PC for the first time ever in the series. Our upcoming release includes the single-player experiences of the award-winning Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which features Nathan Drake’s weary return to his old ways and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, a breakout story for antagonist turned ally, Chloe Frazer. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be available on PS5 on January 28. For those of you who cannot wait to get your hands on the PC version, stay tuned for more details from us on specs and the upcoming release date.

Play Video

Of course, experiencing the over-the-top blockbuster action and adventure that both games are renowned for has been greatly improved to compliment and take advantage of the features the PlayStation 5 console is known for so let’s get into just that.

Graphics
First off, graphic updates. Here’s a look at the options players can select from:

  • Fidelity Mode – For those of you who have a 4K display and want super sharp resolution above all else to enjoy the stunning environments and details the Uncharted series is known for, select Fidelity Mode and play in native 4K resolution with a 30fps target framerate.
  • Performance Mode – We carried over the high framerate PS4 patch with Performance Mode, which targets a 60fps frame rate.
  • Performance+ Mode – If you’re all about the smoothest gameplay possible and don’t mind a resolution drop, try out our first ever Performance+ Mode which targets 120fps* at a 1080p resolution.
Features
Thanks to the power of the PS5 console, the load time is near instant so you can jump into the action faster than Nate or Chloe can draw their weapons (which, if you’ve seen Chloe take on a band of mercenaries before, is pretty fast). Enjoy Spatial 3D Audio* and know where the shots are coming from and immerse yourself in the ambience of the locations across both games. With the DualSense wireless controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, we’ve fine-tuned the rumble and resistance here: feeling the 4×4 vehicles roll along in your hands or landing a punch and then rope swinging to safety has never been so rewarding.

*3D Audio via built-in TV speakers (setup and update to the latest system software required) or analogue/USB stereo headphones.

Pricing and Upgrades
The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be available physically and digitally for the PS5 console for USD $49.99/€49.99 MSRP. You can pre-order digitally here.
Confirmed 49.99 like all the other releases.

If anyone is interested in seeing the shitshow of BF2042 developement.

TL;DW credits go to Saucycarpdog at resetera
Summary of 2042 development:

  • Developers started leaving during the release of BFV, as EA wanted to compete against other games (BRs and normal shooters) and their concepts internally were never given a look at.
  • EA basically gave the memo of "copy what's popular".
  • Classes scrapped early 2020.
  • WFH with cross-gen was a massive pain with 5 different platforms with hardware being shared remotely.
  • The game shifted into a BF title April-August 2020 from the BR (so basically about 18 months of development time) with 128p & specialists.
  • The games original concept got shifted into Hazard Zone.
  • August 2020 is when production really got started and concepts got solidified. So basically 1 year and 3 months of true production.
  • The leaked trailer (epilepsy one) was basically early in the production in early 2021 and shown to QA in early 2021 in its finished form. Used BF3/BF4 assets.
  • "Ahead of schedule" was a giant fib. Past & current DICE devs say it was based on baseless predictions.
  • In March 2021 DICE was overwhelmed and admitted they need help from others. But it wasn't easy again due to engine issues with lack of experience.#
  • Later on in the months it became obvious so many issues like UI where creeping up and causing many issues.
  • Technical test came and ofc was unstable and used Orbital as mentioned in the video was the concept map. And made clear the game was way behind schedule. And Tom was given indications then that BF 2042 was in a troubled state and stressed working environment (not due to crunch but more management issues etc).
  • Tom then got word that the beta & launch was going to be delayed but only a few hours later it was clear the delay was weeks and not months.
  • And ofc the last stretch where the beta was basically an alpha and the launch being a launch.
  • In summary vast majority of development, issues were a massive lack of time, which could've benefitted of an extra year or so in an era where delays of 3-6 months were common. And since so many people have left over development time the studio DICE is basically so different now it needs renaming to reflect reality.
  • Many projects were scrapped including a BC3 which EA thought wouldn't sell for some reason.
The future:

  • The next BF shooter is being scoped as a hero shooter.
  • Most interestingly it may be bands of specialists/heroes fighting against each other and not armies, even further away from BF 2042.
  • The "connected universe" is basically adding depth to the specialists.
  • A BR will come in the near future, not the next 6 months but a vague timeframe.
  • That said things have not absolutely set in stone and DICE developers have been hard at work trying to fix the game to be good as possible (though personally in my eyes the game has fundamental issues of the gameplay core that can't mesh well with say the maps, least that's my opinion) and listening to the community.
EDIT. Also

Basically empty, meaningless words.

7th of december and still no info on a release date for GNOSIA (supposedly to launch before the end of the year)... HELLOOOOO????
GNOSIA release date ? More like "no, see ya" next year
🙈

Let's have hope for Humble, it can't be disappointing every month!
... I have not unfrozen my sub for the entire year. So maybe it can be. :crying-face:
Honestly this year had some pretty good Choices for me.

February was great(Valkyria Chronicles 4, etc)
March was good (Elex, Chimera Squad). Control was a borderline scam though.
May was great (Metro Exodus, Hellpoint, Darksiders Genesis)
July was good (Yakuza 3, Paradise Killer, Surge 2)
August was good (Bloodstained, Blue Fire)

Last 2 have been sorta "meh", but still good enough to get something out of it for 6 bucks.

I unfortunately wasn't very impressed by the demo I played a few months ago (horribly optimized performance, clunky controls, art direction makes it difficult to distinguish gameplay-related elements from what's just scenery), but hopefully the final game is better
Hopefully those issues were addressed.

There is already an ubisoft NFT-based game (that I know off) it's a fantasy football game... I have no idea if it was any good, tho.
Oh, is there? I must have totally forgotten about it. Which is not a shock considering i don't really follow Ubi or Football or Fantasy Football either. ha.

Loved Code Vein but the most important thing to remember is to POST YOUR CHARACTER in the Meta Custom Character thread!

The Blood Codes, Gifts and Ichor become easy to understand after a while when you get a couple of them and work out which ones work best with your style and the Blood Veil you've chosen. I would recommend looking at some build guides as they will really help you understand what each thing does.

I can't remember but wait until you get to "Not Anor Londo" woohoo-hooooo! It's super-fun to navigate. lol
You get used to it after a couple of runs through it but it's always ... not your favorite place. heh.

Don't bother with the DLC it's just some increasing difficulty arenas. meh.
thanks, I'll give your points a look over and keep pressing on for now :drinking-blob:

Maybe I'm just old but what's so special about Ubisoft's NFT? It just looks like the Steam Marketplace but with extra energy-consuming steps.

Players get to control it but what's the point of owning a "Digit" if it's only supported by Ubisoft? It's not like you can carry your cosmetics to other publisher/developer games which I assume would be the value of the NFT.

Have a look through the Code Vein thread there's some tips there i think. Just in case though have a look at these:
Very handy to help realise why certain tings are chosen. Watching a couple of these gave me a good idea of what i wanted in my builds.

Some more builds

Some of these from the reddit may give you ideas too.

A Code Vein Builder - This wasn't around last time i checked. Neat.

One thing, to get the "Best Ending" you have to collect all of the fragments i forget the name of. I ended up running a new game and collecting them as it was really quick second time around but you may want to look up a guide.

There's nothing special about it, its just the "new trend" they are chasing.

It's not actually the same as the Steam Market, the value of items on the Steam Market if defined by the game its from and the interest from the community, and Valve has no saying in which item is the most sorted out, Ubisoft NFTs, and NFTs in general, are design to be scarce and unique to increase its value, spite people interest in it

if Ubisoft wants to increase the production load for every game by making devs program every single unique NFT in every single game they make, they probably can, but I doubt any other company will do the same for itens from other companys.
