Use a third party app like Tweetbot to get rid of the ads. The official Twitter app has ads after every 7 tweets or so making it a completely worthless user experience. Not even real time push notifications are worth being advertised to that heavily, and the app offers nothing else that others can't do better.
On the subject of the sale, did these two games get any better after what was a not great launch from what I recall?
So, The discount for Sekiro will never go higher than -50%? Right?

On the subject of the Winter Sale, I kept it relatively sane this year, mostly older VN's in preparation for the Steam Deck's coming in 2022 (well, hopefully). Finally, Power Wash Simulator!
I've honestly never seen it higher to date (not just on Steam, on console as well). I'd say pull the trigger if you havent played it yet, its an amazing game and well worth it at that price.
Absolutely love that colour. They do a pink one with Japanese inspired keys on it that looks great as well.

WTF is wrong with the M$ store? That thing is worse than EGS.
I thought I would try gamepass for 1 euro and installed The Gunk. I played a few minutes and then quit the game.
Next time an update was shown and i clicked on the green update button but nothing happened. ok, then i reinstall the game and then that will run. wrong!
now i have a green update button and a continue installation button, and neither of them work.
To make it worse, the game is only available on the M$ store / Gamepass.

MS Store is a ticking bomb. I had a similar issue with Gears 5 long ago. I was afraid that I would have to nuke my HDD to recover over 100 GB of space. I believe there is a tool now somewhere on the interweb that will help you delete that game from HDD so you can recover the wasted space and install the game again.WTF is wrong with the M$ store? At this point I don't know the fix, but a thing to keep in mind if someone encounter the same update that doesn't update issue is to open your library in the Microsoft Store App and update the game there.WTF is wrong with the M$ store? That thing is worse than EGS.

Same thing happened to me with The Gunk but the workaround fixed it.
My backlog is huge, so I've only bought a few tables for Zaccaria Pinball during the latest Steam sales.
I've also bought season 2 of Sam & Max remastered. The remaster is very well done and the games are so much fun! Very recommend!
Last but not least I've finished Grim Dawn in hardcore (=permdeath) mode on Elite difficulty. I'm looking forward to try Ultimate difficulty later.

You know how sometimes you wait a long time for a game to go on sale, and then when when it does, you start researching it some more and suddenly you're not so sure about it anymore? I got a double feature this time.
I've been eyeballing CrossCode for ages now, and I was pretty set on playing it, but then some of the more critical reviews mention repetitive puzzles, it being somewhat of a grind and having an unexciting story while being very long, all of which make me I think will bounce off. I'm open to playing a meaty game, but I'm not sure about it anymore.
Then, there's Ender Lilies, which has had an exceedingly positive reception and on paper seems perfect. And yet, I can't quite put my finger on it, but based on the gameplay I’ve scrubbed through the other day, my intuition's telling me I might not enjoy it. The environmental art is really pretty, but the level design itself seems a little simple and combat looks like it lacks punchiness. Hard to tell without playing it myself, of course. Also a little too pricy to risk it at the moment. I still might give it a shot when it's closer to being half off.

I haven't committed to anything yet. Might get Gears Tactics, Spore and some other stuff.
What are your Christmas games, MC? I have been juggling around these three:
- Halo Infinite multiplayer. Map is pretty limited and BTB is completely broken at my side, but I am still having a blast with it
- Super Robot Wars Original Generations. It contains the remakes of two GBA games, OG1 and 2. I am playing Ryuusei route of OG1. Still relatively early but it is very fun to play. Sucks that all the SRW games are not on sale on steam though
- Wild Arms Alter code f. I have abandoned it for a few days. Probably going to return to it tmr. I should well-past the half-way mark but there is still so much to do and explore. So good
I’d like to wrap up Umineko Question Arcs and Sorcery part 2, mainly. So basically I’ll be reading a bunch!

Metro Exodus so far, it's good.
Currently playing Eastward (Steam), will do Ender Lillies (Steam) and Monster Train (Steam) afterwards, If I got time, also Picross on Switch.
Luckily when i last checked it was still unreleased... I'm ignoring that big grey thing on the picture and imagining it's still not available.

- if it is on my wishlist for more than 2 years and had a discount of over 75% several times, it is either buy right now, or delete it from the wishlist
- if it is on sale and I want to buy it, check reviews and let's plays
- if it is on sale and has a yellow score, check why it has such a low score and delete it if you have the same opinion on why thing x is bad

I just arrived to Caspian Sea region (desert) and I'm around 6 hours in.

This is an outstanding method. Especially the first point -- probably 25% of my wishlist is stuff like this. If it's been years and you haven't bought or played it, then it's just not compelling enough. And if one day you really decide you have to play it, it will no doubt go on deep sale again soon enough.
Point two is where most of my game buys come from -- sale + overwhelmingly positive is usually an insta-buy, especially if the game is early access. I don't think I've regretted any of those so far.
Not sure actually. I just recently finished BotW and Mario Odyssey, though I still plan to get some more moons in some of the kingdoms.
Beyond that, dunno. I'm playing some Tametsi here and there. I might do some mastery stuff on Hitman 2, it's burning a hole in ssd with its size. I'll probably think of something more once I'm home again.

I'm finally finishing up Yakuza: Like A Dragon, after months of procrastinating! I also want to give The Gunk on Xbox a try, then Genshin Impact on Sunday.
I'm right there with you, I've been telling myself not to get it all afternoon. I actually do need a new keyboard for the office, but thankfully this doesnt fit the bill functionality-wise as it has no number key pad (and I hate USB attachment doodads). It's just that... it's so nice.
I suppose you're talking about the World Tour Tokyo R2? Its pretty cool, and the hybrid alphabet/hiragana keycaps are well done, but pink on RGB is a little too loud for me haha.
Is FH5 "fixed" already? I've played a couple of hours, but shelved it for the time being because my friend kept complaining about how buggy it was.

All I'm grabbing this sale is a preorder on Monhun Rise. I've been a good boi and keeping up my promise to not buy too many games on a whim before I get through my backlog so focusing only on newer releases I reaaaaaaaaaaaally want.
People's first mistake was having any expectations from QD to begin with

I've been trying to fit the vibe as best I can.
- My daughter is playing Animal Crossing right now, it's Toy Day there. Quite a lot going on there.
- Played a bit of Christmas Lemmings via NeoLemmix. Never realized just how many Xmas Lemmings levels there were... Not going to be able to get through that.
- Played more of the Quake 2021 Xmas Map Pack last night. I think my favorite Xmas level might be 'A Christmas Romp' in the 2018 pack, but 2021 has some fun ones!
- Vanilla Lake in Super Mario Kart feels Christmassy to me.
But yeah I'm trying to think what others feel like Christmas.
Currently finishing off Scrapland Remastered but i have Skyrim AE ready to go and i'll probably fireup Minecraft for a bit as the chests look like presents then slip into FH5 for a little while.

Now that I'm home and looking at my library, in addition to cleaning up Hitman 2, I think I'm going to dig into some old backlog games I remember being really intrigued by but just kind of forgot about, but was recently reminded of one way or another.

Re-installing the Gaming Service via the PowerShell fixed my problem. Now i can install The Gunk again. Feels like Linux problem hunting. Fuck that shit.
I use things like bookmarks way too often to use a third-party app. If only there was a Twitter Vanced like there is a Youtube Vanced...
I did get one extra game this sale, got gifted Deaths Door! Quite hyped for it!
Highly recommend Paint it Back. A decent nonogram/picros game. I have been playing for about 12 hours on and off over the year. Fun presentation and some puzzles have 2 sets to them a simple and difficult version.
