Somebody mentioned this... maybe Tizoc? This is easily worth $1.79!

Oh, go get the CoD bundle for $564.49!

Prob. Mentiones it in a highlight thread or u saw me wishlist it in acticity feed ;3

I decided I'm getting a new TV today. Sony X900F (55-inch version.) It's panel refreshes at 120hz, and I always use my TV as computer monitor.... but HDMI 2.0b can't do 4K 120fps huh? I dunno the native refresh rate of Windows, and my 1080ti can't really do 4K beyond 60FPS in most modern games anyway... but this thing will still work as a monitor right?

Yoshi damn fascinating idea to rebrand the "app spying" problem as "we are not spyware for the chinese goverment" (which noone really claimed, it was mostly separate talking points) .... which basically doesnt really adress the spyware part but shifts focus on the china part
:neutral-face:
Great manipulation job TimEpic

love how its always Steam's 30% ... when the one that came with this cut was iTunes few years before steam was a thing

BTW:
👀👀👀

I think I've settled on a RTX 2060. Now to choose a model :D
Thanks for the help so far EdwardTivrusky and ezodagrom !
Ha, thanks but i didn't really do much to help. I may be stating the obvious but i had to watch out for this so i'm mentioning it just in case... make sure you have a look at the manufacturer's site for the dimensions of the card you're looking at unless you want to have to buy a new case :)

My old Fractal Design case can't take huge cards so some RTX 2070 models were unusable for me.

Good choice! Enjoy applying SGSSAA into everything! :wd_axe:

I'm partial towards Gigabyte myself. They overclock rather well and the fans are almost silent.
When in doubt, go Gigabyte.
The 290 I have right now is a Gigabyte model as well. Been pretty happy with it. So I guess I just get one this time as well :)
They have a few different models though.
Should I get the Gaming Pro (405€, it's cheaper than the non-pro one for some reason) or Windforce(400€)? The regular one is 383€.

Game has left Early Access.
I think Nabs praised this game? I might get it tomorrow. For today I'll spend the next few hours playing we the revolution. I've been busy studying and slacking off and didn't put any game time :V

SSGSS AA is lovely, but not all games can be set to it. To be exact a small fraction of games may require either an editted .exe or to just use 'Enhance AA' to get the SSGSS working, like Ninja Blade.

That's.... a very good point. I'll make sure to double check before ordering anything.

made a thread for it

The Mystery of Woolley Mountain, which launches on April 10, will retail for £9.99 / €10.99 / $12.99, and have a very generous 25% discount during launch week.

The differences are just the factory overclock, basically. But not to say that you won't be able to achieve roughly the same clock speed as the more expensive models though, you just need to play around with the voltage curve a bit more, whereas the Gaming Pro/Aorus models are already close to their OC ceiling so you won't be able to play around much with those ones (unless you slap a waterblock on it).

I wish they've extended support for SGSSAA in DX11 games. But the MSAA in dgVoodoo is a pretty good alternative though. I used it for Gurumin and it looks pretty clean.

PC Era are still fighting the good fight and showing way more patience than i would over there. I mainly stay the hell away from Epic threads due to the amount of bad faith posturing that goes on. It seems to be better but i think that's just because the steam haters stick to the same tired 3 or 4 points to argue with. I don't know where you all get the energy from, i really don't.

:wd_salute:

Edit: Also i can't stomach more bullshit propaganda from Sweeney, i really can't. How the fuck do people lap that up without poisoning themselves?

On a happier note i'm really enjoying "They Came from Below" the first DLC for "We Happy Few". It's linear but full of style and charm and the dilemmas you expect from WHF and it's really making me think about how i want to go and whether i do another run straight after. It also made me realise that i want Compulsion Games to make "No-One Lives Forever 3" in co-operation with a decent FPS studio. That. Would. Be. Amazing!

Not gonna lie, some neat stuff in there.

So EU trying to get rid of geo blocking on Steam... so will we finally get back our bear!?:D Not sure what nationality it would have..

Argentina has the lowest price most of the time now due their currency not doing too great.

Ouch at that latest EGS controversy. Guess I'm now a racist for not wanting one program going around another one files without asking permission first.

Unfortunately I don't how long that will last. In general the country still have good regional prices on Steam but I think publishers will soon start to think "it is too cheap". Aside from the typical Bethesda shitty prices for Rage 2 for example, Tropico 6 increased from ARS$539.99 at launch to ARS$1299.99 now, which granted isn't that bad, but it does show they appear to be adjusting.

I've learned to stay away from Era as much as possible due to the fact there's so much that gets under my skin. However, I will jump in a pro-Epic thread just to giggle from time to time. It's so wild how many people are so opinionated, knowledgeable, and passionate when I never even see them in the PC thread. I also cannot stomach ever aspect of every thread having to go back to politics. 99.9% of this forum is about people have that a common hobby: vidja games.

Octopath Traveler. PC? Cool!

Oh, going back to Epic: TODAY IS THE DAY WE GET OUR HUMBLE EGS KEYS~!

:disapproval-blob:

I would #%$#&$# lose it. :grimacing-face:

I hope we don't have to.

I could see a lot of HBM cancellations... and then a thread on ERA about how terrible PC gamers are at playing the victim and vilifying Epic who is without a doubt shaking up the PC gaming industry for the betterment of (wo)man[it]kind. He will be shamed for burning Humble Bundle and being disgusting racists.

I was kidding, of course, in regards to losing my cool with EGS keys on Humble. :)
I'm not easily bothered.

I'm a subscriber until October, I believe, so I'll keep it until then, and won't renew it (this is not related to EGS, it's something I was already planning to do).
If there's an EGS key or two in there, I'll simply leave them unredeemed, or gift them to someone. Of course, if they release a full bundle of EGS keys, I'll be looking for a refund for the remaining of my subscription period, if possible, because when I subscribed, there were no mentions of getting EGS keys.

If you don't buy an EGS humble bundle you're clearly against charity. PC gamers are the worst! :smart-thinking-blob:
And racist. Also, we resemble a cult. :pleasedblob:

Thankfully, I can't say I particularly care about what some random dudes on the internet say about me, but some of these comments have been truly pathetic.

People really do have a short term memory:

Hey guys, I mostly lurk around here and don't post much (lately I didn't have much free time for many things I want to do), but I hope you don't mind if I'll post here the link on my Patreon page that I launched today - InquisitorAles is creating 4K screenshots | Patreon No paywalls, you can just follow my page if you want to get the updates on stuff I'm doing, so far it's mostly just a screenshots and reviews, but I plan to use this page as a hub for all my future projects.

On the flip side, you have to live here, so you end up losing in the end. I'd take the higher prices if it meant I could live anywhere else.

What does EU want Valve to do? Remove region locking? Remove different prices for different regions. Have same high price for countries with lower income?

The thing about Humble Bundle for me is I get a thrill out of the "What will it be?" I guess it's like my daughter opening a blind bag of some little trinket she''s into. The monthly price isn't really bad and if I have the game(s), I can give them away to friends here. It's fun, but it can be a letdown. I REALLY don't let it get to me if the month sucks, though.

Pretty much region locking keys that are within EU. EU says that as members we have the right to buy cheaper games from countries that have lower prices and that Valve can't block us from doing it.

I totally understand that. When you reach a certain point in your life, it's nice to be "surprised". :)
That's why I subscribed as well.

But, in recent months, the bundle lost much of its interest to me, because they no longer carry games that just launched, so I have been ending up with, at best, a single game I don't already own. I guess that's the problem of having a Steam library with 9000+ games. :p

I admit this month I'm a bit more "excited" than usual, because I want to play the Humble original that's included:

Ended up getting the Gigabyte 2060 Gaming Pro~
Can't wait until it arrives and I can use all that new power to play VNs.

Does he list that "sizable" portion they own of other big companies? Cos 40% isn't just sizable, it's just a step before full takeover, lol. Ubi for example at least has been shown to fight for its independence in the past when another major investor planned a takeover via the shares owned and secured it well enough.

And do you know what company they don't have a stake in? Valve, cos they aren't public and don't intend to become so :D

Lol! I bought an RTX 2070 and the game i was playing? "Divinity 2: Dragon Knight Saga" where you have to set some weird video options to stop the micro-stuttering due to engine issues.
:face-with-rolling-eyes:

Mind you i was playing "We Happy Few" DLC last night and at 2560x1440 on Ultra i was getting 85-100+ fps so i have given the card a workout finally.

Valve already prepared for this, any EU country have been able to activate keys for any other EU country for while now. (1-2 years, sometime after that investigation began).

You can even activate older RU keys that include Estonia.

So I guess it will change nothing.

Aaah, hmh yeah makes sense, probably where cdkeys and such get their keys.

Hmm... I got humble wallet that expires next month. Need to buy something worthwhile. Hoping that They Are Billions goes on sale before the credit expires

Wat... Thanks to Steam we're getting pretty much every game that isn't first party (well, we're getting Microsoft games too lol) these days including Japanese games that never used to get (good) ports before on PC so where's the line? Is he going to buy Sony and Nintendo and put their games on EGS? Lol?

Edit: oh that's an old statement. I guess Steam was like "hold my beer" at that time (well, years before he said it they were on it) and now Tim wants his share.
