I realize Steam thread isn't my blog, but damn I'm so worked up today.

  • Ban extended to 1 month randomly.
  • My package was delivered to wrong address.
  • Eating lunch and one of my rear molars shattered. Dentist couldn't save the tooth so had to extract. It was long and painful, over two hours of work to get it out completely. o_O
My face hurts, my mouth won't stop bleeding. I want my package. Can't even have a nice drink, alcohol will thin the blood and mess with clotting or whatever.

What to do? I'm kinda depressed.

Try to chill, and watch a movie or two, to keep your mind off your tooth pains.

Yeah movies sound nice right about now, and honestly I'm not too fussed about the Era thing. More like it was just one more thing on my big pile of shit day lol.

Knurek won't be much of an issue now that the molar is gone! :p This was one that had been repaired previously, because I powdered it in my sleep. (I grind my teeth in my sleep really bad.) Nowadays I know enough to sleep with a mouthguard, but when I was a kid and younger adult I didn't pay much attention to it, so there is still years worth of enamel grinded away. o_O Makes me pretty susceptible to this kinda stuff.

I've beaten the Heatred Demon in Sekiro. I think tomorrow I'll go for the final boss and be done with it, I don't think farming for the weapons upgrades and the skills is worth it.

Yeah, I have a broken incisor, that pretty much hangs by a thread, have an appointment to try to salvage it next week.
(Not to mention various other teeth I lost already... Being old sucks :\)

If anyone is playing through Phoenix Wright for the first time, please post some impressions.
I'm curious about how you're finding the game.

I played through the 3 games that are part of this re-release on the Nintendo DS, and had a blast with them.
Before these games, I never really rated console "tradicional" adventure games all that much (the PC was always the platform of "excellence" for the genre), so the games were a welcome surprise.

I finished the 2nd case of the 1st. It's good, like an interactive visual novel I suppose. I'd play more of them if they were all so interactive. I was sad when that thing happened but somehow these people get over it fast, ha, I guess it's a light hearted game even when the story takes darker turns. It's pretty entertaining. I guess I wouldn't call it a traditionally fun game, there's no gameplay to speak of beyond attempting connections or deductions. So far the game is helping me along and presenting solutions or hints, we'll see how I feel when I get to the tougher cases and if I find them intuitive enough yet thought provoking.,,

I'm glad you're enjoying it. ;)
The best cases are yet to come! A bit more darkness, a lot more insanity, and certainly more interactivity, clue searching, and courtroom shenanigans.
Some future cases will be tougher, but never to the point of being frustrating.

And, without spoiling things, throughout the games, there will be a few connected events and "callbacks" to earlier cases.

Speaking of dead PCs, has anyone here ever submitted a warranty claim for Samsung SSD? How long did it take? Did they give you any trouble when evaluating the drive?

One of my SSDs just died, and it's on the 4th year of its 10 year warranty. I should be in the clear since I still have my invoice when I bought it. I've submitted a service request but I never got a reply back so I'm just sitting in an online chat right now.
 
I know this is the anime Steam thread but, does someone has an Xbox? I was wondering if I'm damaging my console by unplugging it from the wall while it is powered off but in Instant on power mode.

Same shit happened to me 2017. I felt defenseless and brutalized when they pulled the remains with giant tongs.

I had the worst dentist experience a long time ago, I had to have two root canals and the anesthetic didn't work somehow, so I felt it all, him ripping and twisting the nerv endings. I was shaking and couldn't stand afterwards.XD

So that made me not go to the dentist anymore for many years..XD But when I did go to another dentist and had to have another root canal it didn't feel anything at all, so I got retroactively so damn mad.

To my defence, and a defence for achievements in general, me wanting to get my average completion rate to go up on Steam has made me give games a longer chance than I would have otherwise! Also has made me go back and finish games that I got halfway through for some reason. So I do think it is a force for good, at least for me.:D

Is Instant On the equivalent of the PS4's Rest Mode? Because with the PS4, if you lose power while in rest mode, it tells you to not do that when it reboots (and I think it might even repair itself).

Robot Cache hopes to woo PC gamers who like 'free stuff' and hate Epic's exclusives

New storefront that gives you the option to sell your games when you've completed them for 25% of the price. No exclusives, but free games to motivate people into using it. Curation, but in the first place meant to filter crap like Rape Day or school shooting games. Much more features than EGS currently has. Special sales and promotion events.

Of course we need to wait and see how this works out, but I have to admit this sounds like the kind of competition I want for pc gaming.

Hang in there. The ban being extended to one month is bullshit. In the beginning I held out hope that Era would be a better place than GAF but as time passes I see the same issues creeping back up.

Well, it's not the free resale of digital goods that I am rooting for but it's a start. The fact that it is a Brian Fargo joint makes me apprehensive as he doesn't exactly have the best business record. We'll see.
