Klonoa:phantasy Reverie Series

“Klonoa” is a 3D side-scrolling action game series whose first title was released by Namco in 1997.
Set in a unique universe populated by a range of original characters, the game follows the hero, Klonoa, as he sets off on a journey to save the world.

Commemorating the 25th anniversary of the first title in the series,
we are pleased to announce the release of the “Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series”, a remastered title combining both “Klonoa: Door to Phantomile” and “Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil”!

The world of the games and their gameplay elements remains unchanged, while the graphics have been upgraded. Adjustable difficulty settings have also been introduced to make the games more accessible to first-time players.

Enjoy a nostalgic trip down memory lane playing this new and improved “Klonoa”.

Roam surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by curious droids and dangerous creatures.

See the world through the eyes of a cat and interact with the environment in playful ways. Be stealthy, nimble, silly, and sometimes as annoying as possible with the strange inhabitants of this mysterious world.

Along the way, the cat befriends a small flying drone, known only as B-12. With the help of this newfound companion, the duo must find a way out.

Stray is developed by BlueTwelve Studio, a small team from the south of France mostly made up of cats and a handful of humans.

Embark on a journey of forgiveness along with Ida, the silent princess, through impossible environments and illusionary puzzles. Experience this meditative and calming puzzle game by manipulating monuments and creating evolving paths to explore new, surreal, and mysterious worlds.

Step into the new expanded world of Monument Valley: Panoramic Edition - and experience more intriguing impossibilities than ever before.

Garage: Bad Dream Adventure

Garage - This weird machine is said to create a bizarre dark world by working on the subject's subconscious mind.
The player character is thrown into an enclosed world filled with sewage, with decaying wooden buildings and rusted metals.
And he discovers that his body has been changed into something in between a machine and a living creature.
He wanders around this structurally complex maze-like world in search of a way out.

"Garage: Bad Dream Adventure" was originally released as a PC adventure game in 1999. In this game, the player character enters his inner world through a psychotherapeutic machine. He is turned into an odd-looking biological machine and searches for a way to escape from that world. Because of its unique world setting, it is described as one of the top 3 warped games or bizarre games.

Curious about Hazel Sky. Played the demo some time ago, year or two ago? Maybe a year, 2 years seem like too long of a time.
It seemed like it could have potential but that maybe it was too early in the dev. The trailer I saw during the summer didn't immediately strike me with confidence though. We'll see.

meanwhile at Denuvo

Denuvo announces Denuvo SecureDLC, a new DRM product intended to defend downloadable content from piracy, even if the base game is free-to-play. Here's more on this latest product to torture both legitimate customers and pirates:

In addition to the actual game purchase, gaming revenue also comes from selling additional content and microtransaction-based purchases, presenting significant revenue generation opportunities for game developers and publishers. While selling additional content is an important revenue stream, it has become easy to bypass the existing barriers that try to secure DLCs on popular gaming platforms like Steam and Epic. By using public and easily accessible tools, players can automatically generate and install programs that access downloadable content without paying for it.
While some DLCs are offered for free, players typically must pay additional fees to unlock new content or features. They are usually extensions for a base game and can be anything from cosmetic items, new characters, weapons, and power-ups to big content updates for a game that are only included in certain versions of the game (like a collectors’ edition) or must be purchased separately.
The industry’s first secure solution can be applied to games that are free to play and rely on revenue stream entirely from DLCs, and also on games that are currently protected by the existing Denuvo Anti-Tamper product.

Cheers Mor for another great thread.

I will almost definately be getting Monument Valley 1 & 2. Plus I will be keeping a close eye on Ex-Zodiac. I love the look of that.

Outside of that maybe Stray, maybe Klonoa (think that released while I was heavily into my PC gaming so no Nostalgia for it). Bot other than I will be continuing my continuing adventuring in Final Fantasy XIV. I am now trying to be a better player with a push more towards trying Savage content.

Thanks for the thread! :blobmorning2:

I'll start my posting here by talking about Hellblade. It's my first time playing it.

This game with ray tracing is sooooo pretty, holy sheet. You guys weren't joking when you said that this game is an audiovisual masterpiece.

I mean.... dayum!

I was already pretty excited about the sequel from a technical standpoint, but now it's probably my most awaited game of the year

The surgery I undergone 8 days ago still hurts.
I live during the night and sleep away the days.
I also lost my drive and lack the will to do anything.
Yeah, not the best, but I can work with that… as soon as my booboo stops being so temperamental.

Love you all, love you Mor for those wonderful threads. I hope to be my silly self again soon.

Thank you for the new thread Mor!!!

I think I am more than finished up from the Steam Summer sale, or at least, I really should be. Still tempted by some odds and ends, but I should refrain. Of course, I completely forgot Klonoa comes out next week. :face-with-cold-sweat:

I am planning on playing more games this second half of the year and buying less. I have barely played much this year so far and nothing has really grabbed me. I have been significantly preoccupied. Plus all the usual day to day responsibilities. Wish I had more time. :tired-face:

New thread, thanks.

Yesterday I got the Cuphead DLC, man I've lost all my skill in that game, but after playing for a while is all coming back.

Also, I'm really intrigued how well Stray is going to do, since it has become the most wishlisted game on steam.

Great new thread, Mor! Klonoa and Momentum Valley seem both very interesting.

And thanks for including that interactive fiction game, I think will check it out too. FMV games tend to be very short, so that's always nice for something in between longer games.
