So, I got a "Common Redistributable" entry in my Steam catalog now. I imagine it's their solution for the recent updates where all the games shared the same pool instead of doing it per game, but is there a way to hide it in my Library?

I like using the Grid mode with big personalized images and only showing installed games, but it's still showing up.

Just don't know how I do do with a TKL, I use the numpad for games like nethack/necrodancer/etc..
Really, for Necrodancer? I always map stuff to "normal" keys right of WASD, but if you are used to it then go for a full sized one. Incidentally, the K63 is my first TKL as well, and so far I'm happy with the smaller design. I don't play many "keyboard-heavy" games, though, certainly none that I would use a numpad for. As for programming, I'm fairly good at entering numbers with the normal numbers row, not that I need to enter numerals often.

Jesus Christ, they've already put like 8 Atelier games on steam. How?
Turns out I own the first one they released, Atelier Sophie. Is that a good one?

To hide it you just return to detail view, scroll down the page until you find it on the 'Tools' category and in the right side of the page you will have an option to set its category, and hide it from your library.

I use the numpad for abilities xD. Movement still on the left side of the KB.

Finished.

Return of the Obra Dinn was really good. The mystery is intriguing, and I'm glad I didn't look up at a guide for the investigation parts. There were times I feel like giving up, but I'm glad I didn't in the end. A couple of deaths which may seem obvious apparently didn't turn out to be as straightforward as I thought it would be. Sometimes the clues in solving these will be hidden further in previous memories, which I thought was quite clever.

Overall that was really good experience, now I see why people recommended it so much. Although, there were a couple of hidden achievements, I wonder what those are for.

Ace Attorney is next for me.

It’s so good, but I recruited help from a friend that completed it. I’m not very good at puzzle games, and he loves puzzle games, so it worked in the hand. He didn’t hold my hand, but he definitely pointed me in the right direction. I only got like 12 correct my first play through (although I didn’t realize it would end end after you left the boat). I’m so glad I went back to it.

I don't understand the hype for World of Goo, I remember it playing years ago and finding it very shit, It was a really poor port of Wii version, I don't think you could change the resolution and the mouse controls are awful. Did Epic run of the money to get anything else?
World of Goo is so old its one of the last games I remember pirating before creating my Steam account, where I actually purchased the game.

The memories in (Obra Dinn hint) Chapter 3 were pretty much pivotal in cracking most of the non-officers crew members. It didn't immediately "clicked" for me either until I was almost halfway through the game. Once I got the clues it's almost smooth sailing(heh) from there. The only few deaths which threw me out of the loop were the ones which use misdirection, such as the one in (location) Orlop Deck passageway

But yeah, the game was quite clever in its design, and reading the book again from start to finish with the full complement of crew members identified was quite rewarding.

Dark Rose Valkyrie is shite right? It is on sale but I've heard mixed-negative opinions about it.
Most reviews are mentioning serious technical issues, constant stuttering and upscaled low-res textures seems to be the main complaints. I'll be buying the game anyway, as soon as my new PC parts arrive will give it a try.

Yeah it is so cheap that I want to give it a chance. But still...

And Fire Emblem Clone:
well its even made by the creator of Fire Emblem :-D
Fans of classic Fire Emblem have a reason to rejoice today, as Dangen Entertainment is bringing a treat to Steam in English, Vestaria Saga by Shouzou Kaga.

If you’re unfamiliar with Kaga-san’s work, he was at the helm of development of the Fire Emblem series since the very beginning and until the release of Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 in 1999.

I saw we were talking about Atelier games. I legit messaged the KT Community Rep to try and get prices lowered at some point. They said the pricing is all handled by Japan but they would try to bring it up.
they ALWAYS say that ... and it never happens ... so, you know - don't hold your breath

I was actually going to post the other day in here, but the site seemed to be down. Glad that's fixed now.

Regarding Koei prices, when they released Attack on Titan 2 and Atelier Lydie a friend showed me that they made the price in Russia 4 times more expensive than their other games (including Dynasty Warriors 9, their most recent game before those 2) and double the price to usual AAA. They were actually the most expensive games on Steam for Russia. After showing this to their USA rep he also told me that prices are handled in Japan, but he would try to talk to them about it. They never changed the price of those 2, but all the games they've been releasing after that are using the "standard" Russia AAA price, so maybe they listened.

Is there a way to check my account's cloud save status on Steam?

I'd like to go back to Tales of Somphonia, but the last time I played it was a couple of years ago and I'm not sure if I had the cloud save turned on back then. I know I can simply install the game, but it'd be great if I don't have to.

So I kind of narrowed my choices for mechanical kbs to these three:

Or I mean I can go back to using what I used before, Cherry-Brand MX 2.0
Thoughts?
I used a Corsair K70 in the past (or a very similar model, not sure) and currently using a Ducky One 2, both are good keyboards but I'd suggest the latter for three main reasons:

  • Materials: they look fancier on the Corsair board thanks to the metal panel but I never liked how the whole structure felt, it was pretty lightweight and not particularly solid all around. The Ducky board is made entirely of plastic material but it's very sturdy and very heavy;
  • The cable: The ducky board use a detachable USB-C cable so if you need a longer or shorter one or if you need to move the keyboard without messing up your cable management or if you need to change a broken cable, you don't need to change the whole keyboard, just the cable;
  • Keycaps: The keycaps that come with the keyboard are just all around better on the Ducky, I've been using this for a year and a half and they look as good as new. With the Corsair board they started to get that 'shiny' look after just a few months of typing. Also, the Ducky board use standard keycaps, which means that if you want to get fancy and get personalized ones or if you have problems with specific keycaps, you can easily replace them. It's also possibile with the Corsair board but it's harder and you'll have a more limited choice because they have (or at least used to have when I had a similar problem) a lot of custom keycaps.
What you get with the Corsair one are more dedicated media keys, which are pretty useful but you can set custom macros on the Ducky board if you really need them.

MonthOLDpickle everything NeuralProxy said about this keyboard choice is spot on. Corsair probably makes the best KBs out of the "mainstream" gaming brands so it's not a bad choice, but with Ducky you get a ton more options and quality that matches the enthusiast market generally.

yeah, Kecmo are CRAZY with their pricing ... like in EU they're the ONLY big publisher whose games are 70€ on steam (instead of 60€ like everyone else)

To be fair EGS has feature parity with that steam feature. You can download every cloud save you have on EGS
lol, good one! :p
