Maybe they get around that by having the vampires die in a puff of smoke?tfw when Blade gets perfectly casted but the movie won't be R-rated
I'm sure they'll find a way to get around that. I mean, both Infinity War and Endgame had some pretty brutal scenes.tfw when Blade gets perfectly casted but the movie won't be R-rated
i believe they said they would keep Deadpool movies R rated so i would assume they can do the same for Bladetfw when Blade gets perfectly casted but the movie won't be R-rated
If they do it under the main Marvel Studios brand then I don't think it will be R. If it's under a different brand then yeah, it would be much more likely to have an R rating.i believe they said they would keep Deadpool movies R rated so i would assume they can do the same for Blade
I agree. I also thought that it was a better movie than Homecoming but I consider these movies sort of a prologue for the main course which will be his adult years. Highschool drama is fine but I can't relate to it any more.Watched Spiderman: Far from home today with the kids.
I enjoyed it. I even liked it more than Homecoming. Of course temperatures are through the roof over here and my brain could be melting.
It's a fine MCU movie and having Spiderman without another hero overshadowing him was enjoyable. But I also look forward to a more grown up Spidy. Highschool drama is only enjoyable for a short while.
I wonder ifSpiderman wielding a self made, improvised shield and swinging one of the holographic units like thor swings his hammer is some kind of foreshadowing. Maybe he will have both Caps Shield and Thors Hammer in the future. For one brief battle...
And that cliff hanger at the end... That was new in the MCU. I hope they don't do this with every movie now. It's a bit cruel
What's pizza dog?GIVE US PIZZA DOG YOU COWARDS!
Ah, Hawkeye has a pet! Has he trained it to shoot arrows too?
I know nothing about the Eternals but this image excites me. It reminds me of how my jaw dropped when I first read a Fantastic Four comic in which Galactus towered above New York, humans looking like ants by comparison.
Disney needs to not ask for 50% of the revenue straight up lol. This is such a Sony move to make. Hopefully logic will prevail and some sort of agreement will be reached.
It's not about being a benevolent benefactor, it's about Kevin Feige producing the last Spider-man film and making it the biggest success in Sony Pictures history. I find it perfectly logical for Marvel Studios to ask for a better deal after that. Yes, 50% might be too much but the article indicates that Sony didn't even try to negotiate. They wanted the original deal which is laughably bad for Disney (5%). Besides, Disney offered to co-finance the films and therefore assume a significant part of the risk.Disney needs to not ask for 50% of the revenue straight up lol.
Something will be worked out but Disney isn't an innocent duckling or benevolent benefactor in this saga. Tired of hearing that. I love the Marvel stories and characters and I'm damn glad that not all of them have been rolled into the MCU.
I shall now stop doing a jig at Disney's/The MCU's expense and leave this MCU thread to its fans.
Co Finance is usually assuming risk, except the risk here is losing out on making money rather than just losing your investment. I believe Disney has the all marketing rights currently (thats money right there), idk if anything was mentioned about that. It's not about being a benevolent benefactor, it's about Kevin Feige producing the last Spider-man film and making it the biggest success in Sony Pictures history. lol , no surprise tbh , given the 5%The dispute comes from the fact that Disney wanted to take a co-financing stake in future Spider-Man movies going forward that would have resulted in a 50/50 partnership between the House of Mouse and Sony Pictures. There were even discussions that might extend the deal into other films in the Spider-Man universe. But Sony simply doesn’t want to share any more money than they have to.
Apparently, Sony proposed keeping the arrangement going under the current terms where Marvel Studios gets somewhere around 5% of the first dollar gross, but Disney wasn’t interested.
I respect your opinion but I disagree, I want everything Marvel to be part of the MCU. It's so much fun to see the various heroes interact with each other that I'd hate for such an important character like Spider-man to get walled off to Sony's shitty movie universe that has produced nothing but crap in the last 15 years.Co Finance is usually assuming risk, except the risk here is losing out on making money rather than just losing your investment. They'll get back to the table, probably but Disney is just as soulless and greedy as any major corp and I have no love for them in the slightest.
Honestly, I hate to see all of this super hero consolidation film wise. Yes I've read the comics and I know who the avengers are there but would it kill everything to have variety, maybe let wolverine keep his cigar and not have the DISNEY CODE imposed on every marvel property?
Have Sony and Fox constantly delivered quality stuff I would've agreed, but as of now Disney proved that on average they're much better at adapting Marvel's work than their competitors. Sure, it's not a perfect transition and company's code affects it, but the fact that MCU didn't churn out F4ntastic or Venom with more than 20 films in the franchise ranging from relatively grounded Captain America to bonkers stuff with talking trees and racoons is pretty impressive.Yes I've read the comics and I know who the avengers are there but would it kill everything to have variety, maybe let wolverine keep his cigar and not have the DISNEY CODE imposed on every marvel property?

As for the corporate stuff, I don't watch anything Disney other than their Marvel stuff so I'm not generally a fan of the company. That said, Sony asking for the deal to stay at 5% right after Marvel Studios delivered the biggest movie in Sony's history is just ludicrous.
We'll have to agree t0 disagree when it comes to variety of MCU films and the "quality" of the Guardians of the Galaxy films.Have Sony and Fox constantly delivered quality stuff I would've agreed, but as of now Disney proved that on average they're much better at adapting Marvel's work than their competitors. Let's hope they'll find a compromise, nobody wants to see Holland relegated to Sony's castrated universe.Letting the Spiderman mess sink in little I have to say I'm quite bummed about it. The cliffhanger in last Spiderman was such an interesting setup for both the MCU and for the next Spiderman movie, if nothing comes from it I will be sad.
Especially Holland himself.Let's hope they'll find a compromise, nobody wants to see Holland relegated to Sony's castrated universe.
The Hollywood Reporter's article states that Disney wanted 30% which I personally find reasonable. The current deal is ridiculously in Sony's favor.WoW.
The news reached me yesterday and at first I thought it was a joke.
But I don't understand why people are solely blaming Sony. The current deal was: Sony is paying for production, Disney is having a mayor say in making the movie. Sony takes 98% of the winnings and Disney 2%.
Now Disney wants to share production costs 50/50 but wants 50% of the winnings. That's a step and greedy change. No wonder Sony is recting hostile and moving out.
And yes, after venom (terrible and boring!) and Ghostbusters I don't trust Sony to make good movies. And it's a disasters for the MCU and every single one of us.
But I'm just as angry at Disney as at Sony. Both are 50/50 at fault here.
Hmm. Read 50% in this German article yesterdayThe Hollywood Reporter's article states that Disney wanted 30% which I personally find reasonable. The current deal is ridiculously in Sony's favor.
Haha yeah I am angry at Disney still for all other things, but I rather they make Spiderman than Sony.Say what you will, but I favour one company over the other because they bought part of the franchise, just like the other company.
Okay
I'll keep on being angry at both of them
Yeah, look. I agree on that.Haha yeah I am angry at Disney still for all other things, but I rather they make Spiderman than Sony.
It was surprisingly good, but we could have had both. A working MCU and cool animated side stuff.Didnt sony make into the spiderverse? I'd like more of those plz
Contrary to how some are portraying it, it's not really a slam-dunk deal for Sony.WoW.
