I think the giveaway is indeed considered as closed, since there were no winners and wasn't a first come first serve either. So its safe to give the key away.

Maybe you somehow unticked the checkbox?

Anyway, you can always delete your own giveaway posts. Go here:

https://metacouncil.com/giveaway/800/

and you should see 3-dotted button right next to the "VIEW GIVEAWAY POST" button. Click it on and you'll get the option to delete the giveaway.
