|OT| MetaConsole | Here we can talk about anything regarding consoles

This just comes to me. The new Mario + Rabbids may be the sequel of Super Mario RPG I have been waiting for since SNES. Exploring towns and dungeons, meeting natives in the galaxy, solving puzzles, discovering secrets... while fighting enemies with good-old turn-based combats, now in battlefields that can be varied and hand-crafted. Yes, combat is a totally different beast compared with the original, but if everything done right, this is going to become a modern classic.

I am now very, very excited towards this game. Thanks Ubisoft and Nintendo for realizing my dream of playing a Mario-themed RPG with high production value.

SMT V looks really good. Also BOTW 2 "Aiming for 2022" does not install me with confidence. COVID really messed everything up. :disappointed-face:

Decent directive, nothing "oh wow" with exception of BOTW 2 trailer, but decent. Looking forward to SMT, Skyward Sword hd, Advance Wars pack, Metroid Dread and BOTW 2 at least.

Yep, good direct. Being a Zelda fanboy I smiled like a kid watching the Botw2 trailer.

The footage and creator's talk post-direct make Metroid look really rad. It's not your average indie Metroid-like for sure (the price tag also reflects that so, good).

Btw, Metroid Dread looks smooth as fuck. It's very impressive.

Can't believe Advance War is back. The name "Re-boot camp" also cracked me up.

I've been watching Nintendo Treehouse playthrough of SMTV.

Time for a nitpicky complaint: The fonts used for dialogue are fine, but the rest seems off, somehow. Feels like a "generic JRPG" interface. Perhaps it just takes a bit of getting used to. I know they have to make it readable enough on a screen made for ants, but it looks somewhat inelegant.

Also those textures looks muddy as hell, lol. But it's UE4 so hopefully with a CFW'd Switch we can tweak it a little. Maybe a 60fps patch as well while we're at it.

Some icons and font are straight out of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (a very good Persona-esque game, btw). Although both development team share some members, I was still surprised that they used those in this grimdark game.

I remember being interested in TMS in the past because they coined it as a combination of SMT and Fire Emblem, but after reading the reviews seems like the outcome was anything but. :flare_lmao:

Maybe I'll get it running on Cemu one of these days.

Great showing by Nintendo. For the first time in a while, I’m very excited by their lineup.

Yup, i watched the Direct then kept the Treehouse on afterwards and then watched a couple of the segment videos Nintendo put up.
There's some great games coming for PC & Switch, good times.

Hot little Taito arcade. Love details like the rotating screen. Well, it's far from a detail. The extra controls with the trackball, rotation knob or whatever it's called etc. seem to be among the sold separately controllers that connect via cable rather than attach. I still wish it was just a tad bigger., the screen is a 5 inch 4:3.

Some great games like Elevator Action Returns and The NewZealand Story for a total of 40 (+ 10 to somehow be released for sale post-launch or something)! Edit: it says you can add games from the SD card slot. Even if officially it only accepts Taito arcade roms it'll probably be hacked super easily for much more...

Battle models look super high quality, hope they reuse them to bring out more games at a quicker pace, regadless of platform, with same quality additions etc.

Nice. I’ve been fascinated with Baten Kaitos some reading about it in game magazines a long time ago. Unfortunately the combination of being difficult to track down and very expensive made it so I never got around to it.

It's a prequel though, so the name is appropiate
Yep, but that's the thing... its Japanese name is Baten Kaitos 2. Calling it origins make it sounds like the first game rather than second.

Anyway, I haven't played both game but anything from Monolith Soft are welcomed. :cat-heart-blob:

I finished Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. It's an amazing spectacle bolted onto a decent game. The gameplay was your standard R&C affair, but the set pieces and cutscenes were some of the most impressive visuals I've seen in a video game.

I've played it a little, maybe 4 hours. Having fun with it. Looks good and controls well. Only bought it as I got a trade in deal, no way would I have paid €80 for it.

Does Xbox Cloud for PC have a release date? I would like to see if it's playable on PC.
