Something I forgot to mention, no arbitrary resolution support. It caps to 1080p.i actually played a fair bit of it and honestly - it's not THAT bad ...
I thought... hey.. "you know what... I'm going to buy it too, it's been so long".see FunnyJay? told ya
fair enough ... i only played at 1080pSomething I forgot to mention, no arbitrary resolution support. It caps to 1080p.
Bad resolution support is just one of the main things I won't tolerate on a PC game. It's just how my priorities line up, I can understand others being less offended by it.
contact supportI thought... hey.. "you know what... I'm going to buy it too, it's been so long".
And I got a non working duplicate code... booooo. I'm blaming you guys! (not really )
I've only played a few hours of it so far, but it looks pretty good. A bunch of body horrors and jump scares. The developers, Experience Inc. made Stranger of Sword City (which was a legit blobber). Death Mark has a little of blobber mechanics as well, in terms of exploration. Add to that a little point and click adventure exploration and a quiz mechanic. So it's not a strictly pure visual novel where all you do is select dialogue options. So anyone played Death Mark? im not into visual novel but im intrigued.
First thing I did. Now the waiting begins. What I'm going to do to pass the time? Play some other game from my backlog? Ridiculous!contact support
No. You should get more games to pass the time, and to add to your backlog.First thing I did. Now the waiting begins. What I'm going to do to pass the time? Play some other game from my backlog? Ridiculous!
playing games? what are you a nerd or something? disgusting!First thing I did. Now the waiting begins. What I'm going to do to pass the time? Play some other game from my backlog? Ridiculous!
watched it earlier today ... good episode!
Don't worry. I'm about to buy at least 3 games from my wishlist that are on sale. And of course not play any of them.No. You should get more games to pass the time, and to add to your backlog.
Ideally, the keys will work though.
Well... I'm already a light theme user, my reputation can't really take the hit of me actually starting to play games....playing games? what are you a nerd or something? disgusting!
Somehow I didn't see this on my sub list. Watching it now.
you are dead to me ... DEAD!!!Well... I'm already I light theme user
Well to be honest it will be the only one that will truly make me sad if it goes EGS exclusive because the original Rune was what got me really into PC gaming. Its sort of like a "Oh alright... I guess" kind of feeling of wanting the company Human Head to succeed but yeah. BLEEEH all around.Yeah, I'm on the same boat.
Months of silence, pre-order page removed, and that whole speech. It's pretty obvious this will be yet another EGS exclusive.
Oh well, if they don't provide me with the promised Steam key, I'll do like I did with Phoenix Point: I'll ask for a refund.
Epic Games: saving me money since 2018.
Rune was also one of those games that got me into PC gaming. After hearing of HH's problems over the years, I hope the payoff was worth it.Well to be honest it will be the only one that will truly make me sad if it goes EGS exclusive because the original Rune was what got me really into PC gaming. Isn't PlayAsia a GG-ers? I remember their stance in Dead or Alive game in the past.
Now.... don't be mean... again.you are dead to me ... DEAD!!!
So I'm what. double dead? Somehow that LGR video became relevant here.light theme? you're dead to me ... DEAD!!!
I really hope they don't start with the bs comments later. So far it still is on my "will probably buy later when it comes to other stores" category, in part because they appear to really need the money. But pleaaaase don't start with the "it's really better for you customers" crap.Well to be honest it will be the only one that will truly make me sad if it goes EGS exclusive because the original Rune was what got me really into PC gaming. triple even if you continue to use that theme! So I'm what. double dead? Somehow that LGR video became relevant here.
what did they say? oh, and good luckGot my first reply from support. Let's see how it goes.
So far just the standard "send screenshots of everything and we will talk to our technical team" (like the screenshot of the Duplicate Product Code steam warning is going to give some new info ).what did they say? oh, and good luck
What's a guy gotta do to get a remaster of this and not Overkill? Or hell, don't remaster it and just get it released digitally. I'd go in on it.
Unless this is some Bethesda "We're real sorry about the whole Prey thing", this is going to be EGS, and I guess I'll have to hold off until next year.
I'm in the beta/alpha and there's basically been radio silence since the last test months and months ago since this and them postponing their Early access plans or whatever they were in december so 5 months of.. uhh.. Hello??
Yup, they were rambling about 'SJWs' ruining waifu games for everyone (their business, mind you).Isn't PlayAsia a GG-ers? I remember their stance in Dead or Alive game in the past.
What type of ducky is it?Anybody here use the macros on ducky keyboards?
This is beyond my intelligence..
Yeah, I love the DS4 solely for this reason. More buttons = more joy.I kinda prefer using DS4 for steam games because the touchpad offers more buttons and function than the normal xbox one controller, mapping share button for screenshot, left touchpad for select and right touchpad for start is my default now, and the dpad is much better than the xbox one. But yeah, battery life is horrible.
Ah yeah, I forgot to mention the D-pad issue on the pro. I hardly use it (I hardly use my Switch after all) but it's definitely a problem since so many people reported it. The trackpad was a bit of an issue for me too at the start. Typing with those things definitely took a bit of effort.I had a switch pro but sold it because the dpad problem is terrible, so back to my wii u pro for 2d games i guess.
Steam controller is dope, but I just can't get used to using the trackpad so it's just there collecting dust now.
Oh this is fantastic, I'm always hoping more people get a chance to play AoD. It's probably my favorite of the renaissance CRPGs.Fanatical's bundle with GOAT Age of Decadence is back on

Wow, this is so much like the GameBoy Pokemon games. It gives me a boost in confidence since I've always wanted to create something old-school like this that really resembles Pokemon and other monster-catching series. Also announced for PC, but no Steam page atm.
Dangen Entertainment is on a roll lately.
Wow, I do want that. Also announced for PC, but no Steam page atm.

Sort of adding onto this, the Xbox One controller has really smooth triggers and sticks, and tank-like build quality that's much more resistant to wear than the DS4 and Steam Controller. I still vastly prefer the DS4's D-Pad and overall form factor. The XB1's curvy back puts more of the weight on your middle finger while the DS4's more balanced. Also, it doesn't want to remember the Bluetooth connection with my PC if I ever plug it in? That's dumb. Though the XB1 is better if you want to connect it with a cable because it doesn't become an audio device unless you plug something into its headphone jack, whereas the DS4 becomes an audio device when you plug it into your PC, and typically becomes the default device for some annoying reason.I missed out on the controller talk, but I feel like writing a little about it since I own all three controllers.
I'm excluding Xbox controller since well, I don't own it and Ihatedislike Microsoft with a passion.
Dualshock 4
I've been using DS4 the longest and it's the controller I'm most familiar with since I've been using Dualshocks since the PS2 days. What I like the most about DS4 is the D-pad and the face buttons. It's rather difficult to accidentally press the wrong directional button or the face buttons, compared with the Steam Controller, for example. I am the most comfortable with its form factor, mostly because of muscle memory and the size of my hands. As you might have guessed, the battery life on this controller is horrendous. If you have seen people actually buying multiple DS4s to last them more than a few hours of gaming, I can confirm that their reason is warranted.
Switch Pro
This is the newest controller I own. Having asymmetric analog sticks threw me out of the loop at first, but after a bit of adjustment period, I don't have an issue with it. The grips (or its lack thereof) on the controller is what I had more problem with since I'm used to the grips on the DS4 and Steam Controller (especially the one on Steam Controller since it fits perfectly in my hands). The start/select (or whatever it's called on Nintendo platform) feels like it has been recessed enough where most of the times I can't tell if I already pressed it or not until the action is reflected on the screen/game. Other than that, it is a pretty decent controller. The best thing about this controller is its battery life. And I'm not just saying this because I hardly use it, but it can actually go multiple days for 2-3 hours of gaming each day for at least a week on a single charge. I can never say the same about the DS4.
Steam Controller
This controller is easily the most versatile controller I ever come across. The programmability and the pads on this thing made it the best all-around controller I ever used. What I dislike about the controller are its face buttons. It's too easy to press the wrong button because of the combination of its size and space between them, which I thought was quite small, compared with DS4 which I thought was perfect. and while I can understand why it's the way it was, I feel it's something which can be addressed in its next revision. Apart from that, it's the controller I'd like to use for playing most games. There was definitely a learning period to actually utilise its programmability to the fullest and committing the pads into muscle memory, but once this period is over, you can use this controller for almost anything.
PC Era imploded due to questionable moderation/administration on Resetera,Did I miss anything special that caused the latest influx on new users here?
Our just the usual EGS bullshit?
Huh, I didn't know IWBTG dev was making a Steam game! Another game to wishlist although I generally don't prefer 8-bit style... at least it's far superior to anime deviantart hole IWBTB (Boshy) dev fell into.Castlevania Clone by the dev who made I Wanna Be The Guy:
One 2 (not the RGB). It says how to do it in the manual but..yeah that is like learning Chinese for me.I kinda prefer using DS4 for steam games because the touchpad offers more buttons and function than the normal xbox one controller, mapping share button for screenshot, left touchpad for select and right touchpad for start is my default now, and the dpad is much better than the xbox one. It's surprisingly good with fighting games. I'm also a fan of it with OlliOlli. The trick with the Steam controller is to turn off the need to click on the D-pad, and to set the haptics to high for both thumbpads for every game.
It's absolutely glorious.
That's really crazy that it's still available there. Never used that site before though.
Whew. Yeah, I missed a lot.Check my second or third last post history on ERA and follow the ensuing staff post and the graveyard which follows for a rundown of events.
I'm not even interested in VR. I'm solely here for those knuckle controllers.I like the DS4 d-pad, face buttons, and bumpers. I'm not a fan of much else, so I use it as my 2D controller. There's this sharp edge right under the trigger that digs into my finger when I use the d-pad. It's lovely.
The Steam Controller is my everything else controller. 3rd/1st Person action games are wonderful with it. Old school games w/o controller support play great. I'm also a big fan of top down shooters that have proper mouse support. The Right Pad is just perfect. It's too bad Sony and Microsoft will never attempt anything like it. The right pad + gyro on console would fix what the right stick ruined.
I hope Valve takes what they've learned with the Index/Knuckle controllers and release a new SC. The extra grip buttons sound nice. I could do with better face buttons and bumpers. I personally don't need an improved d-pad, since I do appreciate the left pad for inventory/menu stuff, but I bet they could find a way to compromise and combine the two. If anyone can figure it out, it's them.
Also announced for PC, but no Steam page atm.
