I think Microsoft has the same refund policy as Steam, under 2 hours played in less than 2 weeks.

Microsoft has more requirements than just the two you mentioned,
  • Can only refund up to 6 items a year
  • Gamer Score awarded for achievements is less than or equal to 30
Last one can especially be a problem.

Another interesting "leak", but not related to CP:
One investor possibly leaks Witcher 4 lol. He asks something along the lines of "I know you haven't officially announced it, but how is work on Witcher 4 doing and how many people are allocated to the team?"

well tbh, hasn't they said they're working on The Witcher sequel (without Geralt), but not officially announced, so not really leak.

Launching game like a true gamer - 31 gamer score.

Exactly, That is what happens. A company can frontload their game with achievements. And Microsoft doesn't like refunding if you have a certain gamerscore from achievements as it is tied to their rewards program.

  • A quote from one of the CDPR guys "We had the next gen version in our hands and decided to keep it on the shelf".

Whaaaaat.o_O

"Edit: Removed a quote about the next gen console version, implying it was ready but held back because I misunderstood the context of the conversation on my first listen of the call. Thanks to u/Paciorr for pointing the mistake out. "

In one hand it is really sh*tty what CDPR did to PS4/X1 owners. But in other hand this is first time in a long while that console gamers actually can feel how it is to be PC gamer more often than not XD Or to be precise they can see how it looks like when your platform is treated as second class citizen.

"You must be my stalker!!"
Choose option: "YES!"
Affinity Goes Up

Never change, Sakura Wars.

This is going to be my last post on Sakura Kakumei in this thread (sorry for the derail). I have been enjoying it for these few hours. SEGA called it a spinoff of Sakura Wars (one of the possibilities in the timeline), but honestly, the quality of this gacha can be totally treated as canon. I had high expectation and it easily exceeded it. It excels in nearly every single aspect that I can't find a major flaw. Such a fantastic game. Good job SEGA and Delight Works.

There are no derails in the Steam thread.

Meanwhile Project Phoenix...

Sigh, I wish that you didn't remind this Kickstarter project. It has been 7 long years since the kickstarter started and ended. Those are the 20 dollars that I will never see again. Even if the game is released, I wonder if it will be fun to play...

There are so many ways of layering up options so that you can put together an entirely custom play style. I'm not 100% sure what you mean with healing, but it sounds like it might work.
Well, for a more detailed explanation of what I meant, while still trying to be as little spoilery as possible.
I unlocked an upgrade for a weapon that forced me to change how I approached my run. The weapon has these particularities
Shrink my HP to a ridiculous 30 and lessen the impact of healing items and life bar augments.
On the other hand, it now can heal myself when I use a certain move, that I never used.
It changed things quite a bit. First I selected Health rooms every times I was offered the choice. Then instead of playing 'normally' in end game, I found myself making the encounters slower by using the heal move whenever it was safe to do so, in order to offset my still not great life bar.

I was more or less forced to not make is as button mashy as other runs.

I think there are a lot of actors and actresses out there who play video games, but they haven't "dared" to say anything until these days now that gaming is bigger and more widespread than it has ever been. Vin Diesel has also been very into WoW. Brie Larson has a long history with Nintendo games, she loves Metroid, Henry Cavill is into Witcher, Warhammer, WoW and strategy games.

Same with bands and some sports/athletics. There's a lot of downtime on the road, on a set or at a show so it doesn't surprise me that many of the people who grew up with video games play them during their off time.

And I think gaming will keep getting bigger and bigger. There will be generations now where kids are growing up with video games more than with TV and books. People who grew up with video games will hold positions of influence in the society pushing gaming more around then they realize.

Like, my parents did not grow up with video games, but I have (im right beween milennial and gen z) and I see how video games are taking more space in the lives of gen z and milennials. And if I ever have kids, they will grow up with video games, because I gew up with them, but my parents didn't.

Before video games was nerdy, now it's normal to play them.

This is also why it's complete bullshit to increase prices on games like Sony has.

Hmmm that sounds interesting. I wouldn't mind the change up. I wonder if that is related to the last (?) weapon that I haven't bothered to unlock yet. I have 12 keys accumulated or something but just haven't bothered to walk over there and pick it up.

Today's free Ubisoft game https://ubi.li/happyholidays
Starlink: Battle for Atlas

I may as well grab it free for PC as i have the Switch version and a couple of figures still boxed in a drawer here. I got them at silly prices years ago in an Argos sale and keep thinking i should play it every couple of months and then never get around to it.

Possibly DS's PS5 version and, perhaps, some little additional content? PS5 almost for sure.
Or maybe their next project published by Epic Games.
It does not have to be about consoles.

There were rumors a while back that Sony wanted Kojipro's next game to be exclusive but another party showed up with a very enticing offer....Epic.

I'd prefer that since it would be coming to PC.

I'd rather Sony had it because at least there's a chance they'd release it on Steam.

I though the Epic thing was already debunked.

EDIT: fuck, forgot to add that in my opinion I think it's just PS5 or at max. additional content for the game or something like that.

We are finally mainstream
