I wanna stay up for TGAs but they start at like 2am UK time and last 4 hours, so I'm out.
I skipped past 2 years, I will stay up this year. Mainly because I am alone at the office for next 2 weeks so I can't be late whenever I come XD

I'm almost embarassed to say that i played the vast majority of games on this list.
Too bad this is only mostly handheld games.
Are these games any good? I was never into Yu-Gi-Oh as i was a bit older but i was always wondering about the games as it seemed like there were hundreds of them and looking at that list i think i was right but are any of them super-good and is the collection worth getting if you're just curious?
Are they just online/co-op battle games or is there any story with them?

It appeals to me more than the current online game does.

All of them in that list are primarily single players games, most of them with a story too.

Some of them like The Sacred Cards and Resfhes of Destruction have a story, some of them like World Championship Tournament and Dungeon Dice Monsters are just glorified tournament arcs with not much of a narrative.
These were a great way to play some yugioh at the time, but i'm not sure they aged well, these are mostly gameboy (advance) games.

That said, Dungeon Dice Monsters (Not a traditional yugioh game) is an absolutely incredible digital boardgame and I've been wanting for 20 years for someone to make a new one and if i wasn't a lazy piece of shit i'd become an indiedev and make my own.

Funny you say that, mine is a Call of Cthulhu CRPG with some procgen added.
Or even a JRPG. I didn't play it but I'm sure Laplace Demon is getting long in the tooth.

I don't care what anyone says. I'm going into the game awards tonight with zero expectations. I'll probably have it on my second monitor while playing some more Indy. If Bloodborne is there, awesome. If it isn't, eh.

It's hilarious that people think Half-Life 3 is going to be there, though. Like, what year is it?

I learned long ago not to pay much attention to big events like this. Too much stuff I won't care about to sit through just to find small nuggets of interest I could easily read about later. It's a waste of time and sleep.

Also games take so long to make these days and I play very few of them day 1 so what's the point in poring over information about stuff I won't play until like 2028.

I wonder if they'll only add achievements to games that already supported them on Uplay or whatever their platform is called now. If so, seeing them add achievements to all these games in quick succession kinda validates my theory that it only required a trivial amount of work and they were just being dicks by not adding them lol.

I don't remember which game was the first one to have uplay achievements, though. Still nothing for ACII and ACB on SteamDB so maybe Revelations was the first one? Just fired up the Ubi Connect app and yeah, seems ACR was the first one. So that's probably as far back as they'll go.

I hope they do their other games too, like Far Cry and Watch Dogs.

Realized I hadn't posted yet, so thank you for the new thread lashman!

This time of year is the busiest time of year between work and family, so been so busy I usually read in little bursts throughout the week. There is a lot of games I am interested in this month, but have had zero time to dive into anything in the last couple of months since barely scraping the surface of Metaphor.

All the TGA rumors have me assuming it will be like all the prior years and amount to absolutely nothing. That said, I would love, love, love a surprise SteamOS or Steam machine announcement somewhere in the mix. My GPU is not getting any younger and I have sat out for 3 upgrade cycles waiting for a return to some semblance of value relative to 1080p/1440p performance, but to no avail.

Imagine sleeping while Geoff unleashes Half-Life 3 trailer on the world.

You will never sleep again after that.
I’m going to be at Disney’s holiday party at The Magic Kingdom during the Game Awards. I guess I’ll have to keep checking my phone just in case.

The copium levels around Valve announcements are getting to dangerous levels in here. If anything gets announced (it won't), it will be something like a SteamOS handheld or something. Y'all be huffing the good drugs to believe much beyond that.

Honestly I'm just curious if the inevitable Hoyo trailers tease something new.
And if they'll manage to have good trailers for once, lol.
(For whatever reason they drop dozens of awesome trailers a year, but the ones for these shows are always pretty bad)
