We've reached a point where almost every big AAA Sony exclusive has come to, or is coming to PC. What's really left? Demon's Souls? Astro Bot? Do you guys think Sony will even think about porting the older more niche exclusive games like Shadow of the Colossus or Gravity Rush?

Cause we sure as shit know that Bloodborne ain't coming :suicide-blob:

Meh, after dropping Spidey for the second time and God of War, I must say that I don't care about Sony games.
Maybe I tried the bad ones.

Yesterday I was really surprised to learn that Sea of Stars has co-op. Why didn't anyone tell me? Bought it immediately.
Was a very recent patch and I've been telling people to play Chained Echoes instead haha. Hope you enjoy it. I haven't had time to get back to Sea of Stars after the update to try co-op with remote play together.

It is one of the rare games that made me have really strong emotional response. This scene is still for me one of the best scene in gaming and on pair with many scenes from movies and it is entirely skippable

This shit had me tearing up. Never has a game character felt so real and vulnerable. You believed him.

Tried VIII, but decided to stop playing it for now. Didn't click for me like VI and VII did. Based on my observations online, it's one of the least liked FF games.

Seems like VI, VII, X, IX and XII are the most liked.

8 has a few specific things that make it really unique and if you play many/most of the FF series maybe you'll come to like those things in 8. But early on I'm your journey in the series it's really hard to get past how whiney Squall is lol. 9 and 10 are very different give them a shot.

VIII is an underrated game in my opinion, the whole junction system is a bit hard to wrap your head around, and you can totally break the game if you know how to get some rare cards in Triple Triad (which is really fun IMO), but the setting is amazing (balamb garden has to be one of the most beautiful and bonkers buildings in the entire franchise), and the story is good too. Some characters might be unlikable, but it's a great game that many people overlook.

I do agree that VI, VII and IX are better games overall though.

lol I think Infinity Nikki killed my graphics card

RIP, the drip was too much to handle

edit: tested with a spare graphics card, tested all the hdmi/display port cables, all was good; switched back, all was good too. put everything back into the case and it's no longer working again. oh boy

edit 2: was fine after opening up the case and adjusting the support rod thing for the graphics card. something might be going loose but we can't be arsed to figure it out at this point

I played VIII years ago, while I did enjoy playing it overall, I still would have preferred a more traditional battle and progression system and I think it's the only FF game that I don't want to ever replay just because of the junction system.

I need to continue my journey to play all main FFs in release order. Would need to swallow FFV next.

I have never finished a mainline FF game (only DQ games) but I still think FF Tactics is the best FF. Do I really believe this? I have never actually played tactics more than 5 minutes but I just want to have a different opinion for the sake of having a different opinion. FFT on Steam when SE???

I'd like to continue being inflammatory, but when the topic is FF9 I can't. I thought it was decent. Pretty good. Not in my top 3 FF games, but not bad either.

Edit: one thing in FF9 that's completely unacceptable by modern standards (and only really halfway semi-acceptable at its release) is how much of your time every single battle wastes with transitions + loading + camera flyby. All the PS1 FFs are bad about this but 9 is the worst in that regard IIRC.

The one where the main love interest is literally a 16 year old girl?
Isn't it also the one where the protagonist is a 16 year old boy? That seems to be a non-issue.

I think Steiner is the only adult in the whole party lol

Yeah, FF6 is my favourite out of the series. Some of it is nostalga, it was the first FF game I played back on the SNES and it was this and Secret of Mana that started me off liking JRPG's and down the road towards anime and manga as well. Super Play magazine also helped with that, especially with the covers by Will Overton.

So, got some store credit and decided to grab a couple of things in the sale. Decided to go for Tiny Glade and The Outer Worlds (secret level doing it's work there). Will probably have a play of the Outer Worlds over Christmas.

Watched Secret Level today and enjoyed some of the episodes. The D&D one was good, but a poor substitute for the movie (that film should have been a bigger success so I could have had a sequel). This one mightn't surprise some of you but I really enjoyed the Warhammer 40,000 one. And as an aside, Warhammer TV is worth a sub for a month, most of the stuff on there is good to great and you can get through it all in a month. The Armoured Core one was cool as well, but never played the games so was more enjoying mechs going boom. I really enjoyed the PACMAN one, but it wasn't PACMAN it was a pretty cool action/horror short. I liked the Exodus one as well. But this was more as a cool use of space travel with the inherent problems of using stasis and aging. Have no clue what the game is about though.

The only episode that came across as an obvious and blatant advert was the Sony one and it wasn't even a decent use of any of the IP's. The main thing is with the series, many of them where around the 12 minute mark and most didn't outstay their welcome.
