Is there a way to re-download a playstest through the command thing?

I tried from steamdb but playtest is over. Turns out you can still play it if you have it downloaded, from running the exe outside steam..but unfortunately I uninstalled.

New: Early Access developers can list their planned "1.0" release date
We recently introduced a new field in Steamworks for Early Access games, providing a dedicated space to display the date when a game plans to exit Early Access and officially launch 1.0.

How does it work?

Products that are currently in Early Access have a dedicated Early Access tab in their Edit Store Page tools. At the bottom of that page, developers will now find a date picker to select a planned 1.0 release date.

Just as with Coming Soon pages on Steam, developers have the option to share a specific calendar date, or a more vague timeframe if they wish.

After the developer saves and publishes their change, customers will see the planned 1.0 release date publicly in the store, like so:

Why did we add this new option?

Occasionally, developers with a game in Early Access would ask us proactively if there was any official place to display a planned 1.0 date. They wanted existing and potential players to know about their plans. Many studios were already sharing their 1.0 dates in other places-- within the text description on the store page, via Steam Event news posts, on social media, in their forums, and so on.

Last year we introduced the Steam Personal Calendar, and realized one valuable kind of 'release' was missing from the UI: upcoming transitions from Early Access to 1.0. With an official 1.0 date display, we could give those transitions an official display in Personal Calendar, and help address the developer requests around formally showcasing the planned 1.0 release.

What should developers do next?

If you have a game currently in Early Access, you have some decisions to make. Early Access can be challenging and unpredictable, and it's perfectly normal for a studio to change plans, or simply not know when the time might be right for 1.0.

Our advice is:

1) Just because this feature exists, does not mean you should or must use it. It makes sense to use this date display only if you are already communicating directly with your players about a planned date for your 1.0 release, when you have a very high degree of confidence.

2) When in doubt, wait. Setting a specific calendar date can cause confusion or disappointment if you end up missing that date. Building and maintaining trust with your community is an important part of Early Access, and there is no pressure to establish a 1.0 release time far in advance.

Finally, remember that Early Access is a tool available to developers. Many games don't want or need to use Early Access, and that's fine. This new option is only available to games that are actively for sale in Early Access, and has no effect on the broader Release Date and Coming Soon tools or displays across Steam.

If you run into any issues making use of this new feature, or you have suggestions for other things we could add to improve Early Access on Steam, reach out to us any time!

Tried Pragmata demo (yes I'm late). Very surprised that my 1080 Ti can hit 45fps at 1440p (no FSR) with a combination of high and medium settings. If I go 1080p it can run at 50-60fps without problem. Game is pretty fun, too.

Ran smooth on my aging, creaking gaming laptop. Love the mechanics and exploration. Structurally feels like a PS2 action game [PRAISE].

Fuck Capcom's regional pricing, but I would be tempted to get if I had a better machine (and money)

Anybody tried this, searching/clicking this on my Google Play only brings up a result with its Japanese name/screenshots, is it in English after you download it? It'd be a good price if it runs good on my phone since it's listed for like 20 and they say it includes all the DLC? It's way more expensive on Steam, double the price without the DLC. Edit: clicking it on my desktop without having logged in it's the English result, doing the same on my phone/logged in it's Japanese...

How is Nioh 3 on linux ? Asking for curio’s sake as I’m 15+ hours in and won’t risk some stupid steam bug eating my save.

In other, related new, Google Mail just warned me that they will soon end gmailify and POP support.
So I have two options here, go back on the dozens of sites I registered with my @wanadoo.fr adress (@orange.fr, but I’m old) and be a good boy.
Or decide they can go fuck themselves and make Google my first stand in the American alternatives initiative.
Very interested in the whole Proton suite sub all of a sudden.

And third, again related. How do sites in general behave with a Proton email ? As it is also a common way to use a burner email, I’m wondering if I could have trouble.

edit - Damn, 15 euros a month was still acceptable but it's yearly. Monthly at 20 fucking euros is a tad rich. I'm talking about the priciest Proton sub, as their other solutions don't provide a large enough backup storage.

Cheaper would be to use have a domain and have your emails there? I pay 36 euros every 6 months for the webhosting and 12 yearly for the domaine

PlayStation blocks Proton emails, but you can use a custom email domain.

Other than that, haven’t had any issues.

It's for email, data backup 1to, password manager, VPN, calendar and maybe one or two other things I forget.
I'm not even considering paying 20 euros / month for email.

Mmh, yeah I just checked and with mullvad and gdrive I'm at something like 8 euros a month. 20 euros is crazytown.

The iOS version is in English. I played a bit with touch controls. The overlay looks ugly, but it works well. Will check with my iPhone controller tomorrow.

Yeah I just saw the screens showing all those gamepad buttons overlayed on the screen, that's just weird, it's a tile based turn based roguelike type JRPG, they couldn't have deviced a proper touch and go method or anything better? But oh well, if it works. And yeah I know the game's in English too but I'm specifically asking for folks that see it in Japanese on the store like me, if they still get the English version on download, since it's clearly not intended behaviour.
Screenshot_2026-02-07-10-45-09-399_com.android.vending.jpg

Again, on my PC I see it in English but on my phone I get that... And now I just tried to log in on my PC gmail first, then visit the game's store link from Gematsu, and it's in English still, but the buy button is now greyed out, lol. I guess they don't want me to get it, I've not encountered anything like this before. Edit: oh that's because it was the USA store link, I got an EU link and it was in English in my browser like that and I just bought it and it's downloading on my phone, but once again shows the Japanese name there even though I was seeing it in English when I bought it, lol. Update: it asked me to select language on first boot, yay..!

Game looks and runs fine but seems to literally be the Switch version, no real options except what you'd find on that for controls settings and things, can't even change subtitle size or anything and they're a bit small on my phone but oh well, definitely playable, Idk if I'll keep it or refund, will play a bit more and decide.

I been using DP since I got my new but old monitor... MSI 34 (32?) 3440x1440 240hz QDOLED..

It has HDMI 2.1 but I wouldn't hit (near) 240hz on it..so DP it was. DP port is old tho on it.
yeah msi321urx is what I have, can't use HDMI as my fucking zotac 4090 only has ONE HDMI port which my OLED TV uses :(

Done it again, turned monitor off came back 10 minutes later turned it on, desktop, chrome said it hadn't closed properly

Diablo 30th Anniversary is on February 11th with discussion about the next updates for Diablo Immortal, Diablo 2 Resurrected, and Diablo 4. Maybe we'll be seeing an announcement that all the Diablo games will be on Steam?

It is so weird seeing Humble Bundle doing bundles with physical items:

Is this a recent thing (like last year or two)?

Mona has been updated v2.1.0 - yes, that quick. :p

I had one more feature left to introduce, but had it disabled in the background because I ran into a few issues with it.

Steam Game Search Autocomplete:

A new autocomplete feature for the Enhanced Layout that searches Steam's game database as you type in the Title field.
Features:
  • Real-time Search: Results appear as you type
  • Auto-populate URL: Selecting a game automatically populates the Steam store URL
  • Platform-aware: Only activates when "Steam" platform is selected
  • Keyboard Navigation:
    • ↑/↓ to navigate results
    • Tab or Enter to select
    • Esc to close dropdown
  • Match Highlighting: Search term is highlighted in the results
  • Show More Pagination: Results are limited to 5 at a time with "Show more" button
  • Client-Side Caching: Repeated searches are instant (up to 50 cached)
  • Server-Side Caching: Results cached for 1 hour to reduce API calls

Resident Evil’s T-Virus is heading to Tokyo, offering fans a rare chance to see one of gaming’s most infamous fictional threats.

According to the official press release, a...sample will be unveiled in Shibuya on February 14 as part of a biotech...showcase designed to bring video game horror... to reality.

Finally, the end is coming. Let it be ground zero!

There's a weird situation going on with the upcoming release of Disciples Domination. The game is out on the 12th but they have a digital deluxe edition that gives the usual 3 days early access. The thing is, this early access is available on every platform other than Steam. So, PS5, Xbox Series and Xbox on PC (aka the Windows store). Don't think I can remember any instance of Steam getting excluded from early access and it's especially strange given that Steam is most likely going to be the lion's share of sales for this title. On the bright side, Steam customers will get to know how the game is before they can buy it.

The grinding is bad, and it was a PS3 era JRPG originally (most of them were victim of bad tech hindering quality).

The new scenario (added seamlessly in the original story) stands out so much, because it's quality is so much better (and of course, with someone with writing experience).

Still have to get the last 3 endings.

What new scenario ?

Anyway, friends don’t let friends push through Nier Replicant. Friends first laugh at the poor souls who will suffer through hours of the same shit only to play spot the difference. Then empathy comes in and friends feel bad about this.
Nier Replicant is a great read on fan sites who detail the narrative, not a great game.
