Fatal Frame on Humble Bundle if you want a slight discount.

Perfect.
In November the game will get mouse controls for the camera.

Let me know if you grab it from there. Want to see if you got the day one dlc. Might end up refunding and getting it from there if you do.

There should be two pre order bonuses.

Ah, Japan, never change. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Japanese indie developer KoheiGallery has some colourful games available.

For example, there's a light gun shooter game where you shoot... rubber chickens:

There's a stealth game of sorts where you control... a middle-aged man, who drinks sake and tries to approach cosplay girls when they aren't looking:

How it started:

In a country far far away 25 years ago (Germany)

There are about 150 games from my wishlist on sale :dmcblob:
There are close to 500 from mine on sale. And none that I really feel like buying.
It's partly because I'm still working my way through recent bigger purchases (FF 15 among others) so I don't particularly feel the need to grab much right now and partly because stuff that I would be inclined to buy right now (some VNs mainly) is stuff that I kinda wanna play on the SteamDeck, which I don't have yet, and there are at least 2 bigger sales before I get one.

My haul so far:
  • 1 upgrade for 4€ with the loyalty discount,
  • 2 DLC, including one bought on the Humble Store for the additional subscriber discount.

Still undecided about the following two.
  • I will most likely pick Jenny and wait for the reveal of the Humble Choice before I start the game,
  • I would skip Erica as the game requires to download 27 GB of data. I am not that motivated to play this FMV.

Total (without Erica): ~ 11 €.

Can I join too one day?:D I think B4B has crossplay so I can be on my xbox while you guys are on PC.
I don't think I'm taking a big risk in talking for both of PossiblyPudding and me and saying that you are more than welcome !
You just have to know Pudding lives in a barbaric land ravaged by timezones, so the sessions we can arrange generally start at 11pm until 2-3am.

And yeah, pretty certain it would work, I myself am playing the Game Pass version and Pudding is on the Steam one.

Oh hey, Hamble sent me a 3 Choices for 6$ coupon if I buy this months bundle. Might as well bite, even though the selection is dire. Guess I'll treat it as a 6$ for Katana Zero purchase and an investment into the future (surely one of the next 2 bundles will be (subjectively) good again? ...Right?)

I just got it too (almost missed the email, thanks). It's funny, because I already bought the two games I wanted for around that price (Katana Zero & Hex for $5).

I'm still going to do it ¯\(ツ)

I think most people got them, the response must have been underwhelming. I got mine 3 days after I paused straight away.

What does blockchain mean beyond just crypto? what place does it possibly have in gaming?
Blockchain in games exist solely for the sake of scamming people. It offers nothing to the game's design, its there to tempt people into investing so the creator of the game can make money from increased values of the "currency" they created.

Checked ebay for Guardians of the galaxy. Jesus wept, some freaks are selling family sharing version of games to play in offline mode or something.
I still have no cheap Guardians key and I'm approaching 'too much internet for the day'. It's 3:00 pm.

Giveaway

Restrictions & Conditions:

Hello, I'm the Giveaway Bot! fearthedawn is giving away 8 gift(s).

This is a first-come, first-served giveaway. Once you enter, your key will be delivered to you instantly via a PM.

The following games are being given away:

I bought it yesterday and played for a bit, and it's more fun than what I was expecting for a mountain bike game.

The main mode you need to finish 4 areas without losing all your lives, you can get more lives completing a special objective in a level. If you spend too much time playing the levels in an area it starts to become darker as the sunset approaches.

What does blockchain mean beyond just crypto? what place does it possibly have in gaming?

Blockchain is a method to create a digital ledger without relying on a central authority to ensure all transactions on that ledger are valid.

So for gaming, the obvious concept is to put in-game items and currency onto a blockchain. So now your Dragonslaying Sword of Fire and Ice +7 is really yours, the game company can't ever take it from you! And you could sell or trade it without even needing to do so in the game, or through some central server owned by the game company.

Of course, all the value of that item exists because the game server acknowledges it exists and lets you use it. So while you do have a record on the blockchain saying you own the Dragonslaying Sword of Fire and Ice +7, if the game shuts down, or the server decides it's too OP and doesn't let you use it, then all the blockchain is giving you is a receipt to an item that doesn't exist.

And this is why blockchain + gaming is a dumb idea. The whole reason to use blockchain is that it doesn't require a central authority (and I would argue that isn't even a good reason for it to be used), but tying it to a game just brings a central authority back in. So now you own an item as long as the game company allows it, just like with any normal online game. And you got to burn a ton of fossil fuels for the privilege.

Remember how launch day Diablo 3's real-world money auction house ruined the game and people hated it? Nobody wants to try that again because it bombed so badly, but they absolutely want to try again so they can get a bunch of cash. So tying games to the blockchain feels like an attempt at real-money auction house v2, but with the target demographic being tech-bro investors who will try to buy and flip these assets.
