Discussion Switch 2 Direct

I can deal with the system price but software's too much. Should be 69,99 physical and 10 less digital. Hopefully you can find better prices physical in stores but with being 10 more for physical you aren't likely to beat the digital MSRP by a meaningful amount even with that, 79,99 is a bit too much, especially if Kart World being the more expensive game shown there is also to have a ton of paid DLC + the online subscription cost on top to maximise the value you might get :(

The Yen prices are fine to be honest but yes the west is getting fucked, that's even higher than the crazy higher VAT (only 10% in Japan I guess?) should warrant.

Oh well, another gen I'll do without the Nintendo system I suppose. When's the Steam Deck 2 coming since PC parts are also so damned expensive nowadays...

Still excited to see the big N games, everything looked great, it's nice to know such game devs exist even if I don't get to play them, or not in a timely manner💀

Woo boy, that price is rough! This might be the first Nintendo console I don't buy at launch since the N64. I didn't expect any Xenoblade news (which probably would have swayed my decision to buy), but no way am I dropping $500 for MK and a development hell Metroid. Add in what, $80 to $90 for games? Pfft.

$80 for Mario Kart lol. $450 is around what I expected for the US launch price, though, for better or worse.

Kinda underwhelming in terms of new software announcements, but there'll probably be another Direct in the next few months that will show more of the 2025 lineup
