New week, new thread! What are you playing?

Continuing Yakuza 0. I reached chapter 10. Going through side content right now. Catfights is one of the worst minigames I have ever played. Purely luck-based RNG to win? Nagoshi what was wrong with you.

I marathoned the end of chapter 2 of Wuthering Waves. It was just anime Avengers Endgame, but it was still pretty hype.. Hoping to get caught up to the main story before the Cyberpunk patch drops in ~2 weeks.

Also driving around aimlessly in Forza Horizon 6.

Finished Caravan SandWitch and started Rusted Moss.

Very clearly meant to be played with a mouse and keyboard but also has controller support. But it's weird and not sure if I can't actually finish the game like this. The game has this bungee rope swinging mechanic and you aim where you attach the thing with the right stick, and so by necessity you have to put jump somewhere other than the face buttons, and it's breaking my brain a bit. We'll see how demanding the map structure gets I guess.

Finished Metro Last Light. I think I like the first one more, but still good stuff.

Then played the new Genshin story stuff and that was pretty dang impressive and ambitious, though could have been slightly shorter. Basically it's a wrap up of 3 year old open plot threads (main and side) of all of Sumeru.

I then started Metro Exodus, but I'm not actually feeling it that much. Not sure if it's just Metro fatigue, so I'll probably try again after a bit of a break, but I do know that I'm not sure I like the bigger open areas. I enjoyed the linear, directed and brisk pace of the previous 2 games.

So instead I'm giving Daemon x Machina Titanic Scion a try. Only 2 hours or so in, but it looks promising. If you're unsure what to do, you can't go wrong with mechs.

I haven't posted in this thread for a while, partly because I was mostly playing games everyone knows anyway.

For a bit over a week now I've been playing Kotama and Academy Citadel, and this game has no right to be remotely as good as it is.
I expected something mid-tier (I enjoy Metroidvanias even if they are just average, basically the only single-player genre where that's the case), but the game actually has both some of the best combat I've played in any Metroidvania and some extremely tight platforming challenges. It also has an incredibly horny art style which is honestly a shame since it will (understandably) turn some people off an otherwise pretty damn great game.

I completed the System Shock remake. It's a great game, but sometimes you really need a guide for certain things!
I've started Death Stranding and Outer Wilds in VR; both games look great

Finished Rusted Moss.
And by that I mean I enabled flying in the accessibility menu because all the physicsy swinging mechanics are just too much for me. :rip:
I almost wrote that maybe I'm not as dexterous as I used to be, but thinking about it I'm not sure if I could have beaten this as is even when I was younger.
And even then it's quite demanding. The boss battles in particular are absolute visual chaos all the time, it's kind of hard to keep track of stuff.

Going start Pumpkin Jack next. 🎃
Wrote this in the blitz thread but might as well quote it here too.

Pumpkin Jack should be more of my style of game I guess. :toucan:
