New week, new thread! What are you playing?

Continuing Super Robot Wars V. I'm doing one scenario per day / two days, Gundam 00Q and Raphael Gundam just joined the party in the last scenario. 00Q is one of my favorite Gundam designs (Exia and 00 / 00 Raiser are also great) so I will be using it a lot. It should be very OP, too, if the developers are adjusting the stats based on its performance in the movie. Already done a bit of upgrade so excited to try it out soon.

1st Anniversary of Girls' Frontline 2 has also begun. My favorite character from the series (ie. Leva, my avatar) has finally arrived. Very happy about her appearance and depiction in the story. Another big, new addition is the Crew Deck system where players can visit and customize a small hub world where you can observe and interact with the characters. It's neat and cozy and I took a lot of screenshots there. I'm also progressing the main story event. Writing and character interactions are great so I'm enjoying it immensely.

Played lots of Control. Very handsome game and very fun too.
I'm probably over halfway at this point.

Also more Where Winds Meet over the weekend. Didn't play for a couple days cause I'm just bummed out by the localization, but got the itch at some point and suddenly a bunch of hours where lost to the winds :cold-sweat:.
The exploration, gameplay and world is just really engaging despite the loc work. (Apparently the devs are aware and are urgently looking into things, but even if true it's gonna take forever anyway.)

There is something about the event on Day 90 of The Hundred Line that doesn't sit well with me, since I feel the characters are acting, well, out of character. I'll probably talk a bit more about it next week.

But today I'd like to talk about Detective Instinct. If you're a fan of Famicom Detective Club games like I am, then this game is for you. I had a chance to interact a bit with the developer on Bsky a while ago, and I can tell from that short interaction that they are fans of the series. Their love of the series translates very well into their game, down to the almost archaic way of scene interaction, while still keeping the modern feel of the presentation.

There are similar games that take FDC games as their blueprint, such as the Retro Mystery Club games and most recently The Okhotsk Disappearance remake (although more accurately, the original Okhotsk was actually the blueprint for FDC). Maybe I'll write about them a little in the future.
