I do like a lot of what we're seeing of that FVII trailer but at the same time I worry. A lot of the game's charm was in the pre-rendered areas, in all the conversations and, well, atmosphere. That's a tall order to recreate in UE4 and I worry that areas will end up feeling very empty, barely more than player-funneling gameplay devices as they did in N:E for instance.

A lot of this is cinematics or combat, not so much world navigation and exploration is my concern.

Bundle sites are a negative influence and should be avoided at all costs.
True. It is rare that I end up spending much time playing the cheap games which I hoarded in bundles. In the end, I have spent more money with no advantage.

These days, my method is to rely on browser notifications from gg.deals. I have set up alerts for items in my wishlist, and that is it.
I also check Humble Choice every month, but usually buy a game every few months from the Steam "Goup Buys" community rather than directly from Humble.

Are you sure that you are not going to be over-charged by your bank? In the end, this bundle might cost you a bit too much, no?

Unrelated, my emoji has been sold! That was quick! The picture is blurred, because that is my whale hunting territory! 🐳 🚣‍♂️ ⛵

I'm not that interested in the Humble Choice for January.
I'm also very tempted to buy it.
So weak.
Don't buy it if you're not that interested in the games. They're just going to join the other hundreds in the library, waiting for attention they'll never get.
You could give those some attention instead :p

This goes against our nature to hoard games that we never play
I'm too embarrassed to even admit my Steam library Played vs. Never Played ratio. It's quite sad.

Thank god I got out of that hoarding racket a couple/few years ago. Now I only buy titles I'm ready to fire up, like right now.

Sale prices that seem too good to be true are still a net loss if the game will never be installed.

Closed the tab, retried purchasing. The site tells me the payment is not possible because it is already in progress. At least they won't bill me two times.
That being said, I'm super nonplussed about Humble support.

Li Kao I must have passed the bad vibes on to you, mate. I've just bought some FMV games via the browser but my phone is still playing up. I only made the purchases to see if Steam would screw up and give me some tokens so i can get some Rat emojis but no... 🐀 Denied.

I have been REALLY good so far and finished some games in my library and started Xenoblade Chronicles X again.

prudis That's why i have bought stuff like Gary Grigsby's War in the ... franchise and other slower games for when i'm too old to react to anything vaguely actiony.

I got contacted to add a speedrun support feature to ToCS3. I find it interesting that people (well, at least a few of them) actually speedrun these games.
(And any% is lower than I would have thought, ToCS2 took me 100+ hours)

Someone's actually doing a speedrun of all the games as we speak in a relay

They're currently on Ao, so spoilers for that if you haven't played it.

Finished RE7's banned footage dlc.
Played a bit of End of Zoe, I was not expecting a campaign based on punching my way through the monsters. WTF?

Anyway, once I'm done with the RE7 dlc and Trails of Azure I'm going to put my focus 100% on Mutant Year Zero, loving the game so far.
Next on the backlog list (which is actually through family sharing just like RE7 lol) is Batman Arham Knight. If I manage to squeeze that one in before RE3 is out I'll be pretty happy. These are all games I've wanted to try since they were released, a trimester without any new releases that interest me was just what my backlog needed.

I wish they'd put a release date on Streets of Rage 4 and Panzer Dragoon already, I can't wait for those.

Hmm, I caved in and unpaused my plan.
Now the fucking thing is frozen at "we are charging your default payment method".
Karma.Is.A.Bitch.

I'm getting some real EdwardTivrusky vibes right now.

Wait, you jinxed it, didn't you Ed ?
Chill fam. That bundle is around for at least one more week; next Thursday/Friday. Hope your payment goes through >_<

My advice is to stop buying games that you wont immediately play. Bundle sites are a negative influence and should be avoided at all costs.
No can do homie; bundles generally mean 'cheapest I could get games I want any time soon, and foreseeable future'.

This goes against our nature to hoard games that we never play
Unlike you simpletons, I do play the games I've hoarded 🧐

Except PS Plus games because I am too lazy to bother with my PS4 :V
I should buy Horizon Chase on PS4 at least since my cousins liked it. Wonder how much it costs in my native store.....

ONE

YEAR

Fuck you Sony+SE
First time I'm seeing this. The pure and unadulterated campiness of this is amazing.
I'm not too bothered about the one year thing. I assume it only counts for the first episode, not future releases, so when it hits PC it might even have more content than when it first hits PS4

Below 1.0 now.

I wonder if Metacritic is going to pull Death Stranding and removing bad user scores.
And here i am always saying that a bad new entry into a franchise doesn't have to affect your enjoyment of the previous ones. You can still love the first seasons of game of thrones not matter how the later ones turned out, Mass Effect OT didn't turn into a turd just because of the ending and Andromeda... whelp, Blizzard got the better of me :suicide-blob:

So.... TW101 multiplatform, huh? who would have imagined.

it's just a rumor but a funny one indeed.

EDIT: some context from ResetERA forum.

Im really happy I never started buying VR games on the Oculus client when I got my Rift and just bought my games on Steam and will continue to do so (next up is Saints & Sinners that I will buy on Steam). Oculus is now of course pushing all the social stuff that requires you to use your FB account to access, which is bullshit and not happening.

They just introduced the leaderboards and join a friend in a game on the Oculus client, but using that feature requires you to connect your FB account to the Oculus client. Fuck no.

Steam already has those features and the only games I buy on Oculus client are Oculus exclusives.

I'm not in any hurry to play FF7remake. Especially since its not gonna be a complete game at launch.

Played 15 a couple years ago which was alright and I have 13-2 in my steam backlog. Plus a bunch of them coming to gamepass soon that I want to mess around with like 9, 10-2 and eventually Lightning Returns once I do get around to finishing 13-2.

On top of all that still not giving Square money for treating pc gamers like shit with DQ11. Its kind of a shame they are spending so much time with remaking 7 and all the time they wasted making 14 + 15. They'll probably spend another half decade remaking 8 when they should have released 16, 17 and 18 by now. They are still working so slow despite moving to Unreal so everyone should just get cozy because there isn't gonna be much new stuff coming from them the next decade.
