What didn't you like about it? I was considering buying it but we often seem to like/dislike the same games so I'm in doubt now 🤔
Badly paced, sorta repetive, a bit janky and too long.

The beginning was quite boring. Took long time to get "going".

The jankyness can at least be fixed more with a PC version.

Got Days Gone from Nuuvem, here's hoping I enjoy it (and get some time to play it and ME Legendary).

I also got SGW: Contracts 2. After playing the first one for a bit (thanks Joe Spangle) I really enjoyed it, but unfortunately the game hates AMD GPUs and the stutters made it almost unplayable. Seems that Contracts 2 will be better in this regard, so I'll give it a shot.

And I also got Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol. Never played Ghoul Patrol, but since it has proper regional pricing and I absolute love ZAMN, I couldn't skip it.

And yet it's probably the one that will sell the most from the ones available at the moment as Zombie genre on PC is a juggernaut.

We don't know what's the density from #1, #14 or #25, it could very well be 10, 10k or 10M but as they won't say a thing, well, we don't know haha
tl;dr it doesn't really matter as we don't know what every place means in terms of copies. :coffee-blob:
Yeah I think Days Gone will do pretty well on PC, that zombie plus open world combo is great for the PC audience.

Days gone's only interesting thing to me were the swarms of zombies. I think it was one of the first games to truly try to picture how it feels to be rushed by such numbers. Beyond that, nothing seemed really appealing. The issue wasn't so much the protagonist as the complete lack of anything to show or tell other that "America, Zombies".

Perhaps it's actually good but the marketing was pretty abysmal for the takeaway to be that.

I find it funny how that Valve has really locked down people from buying cheap games in other regions we're seeing less and less regional pricing.
that's because publishers never cared about regional pricing in the first place ... they were only whining about people buying from other regions because they were "losing money" ... they were always going to start raising the prices eventually anyway

Too bad I already have a way-too-expensive headset for my needs. Also that I don't have the constitution to handle being a streamer, which this it doubtlessly made for.
Meh, I would like to be a streamer (said the socially anxious guy) but this is so not compatible with my way of playing games. Commenting every little shit you do would make me bonker :sweaty-blob:
And I'm lazy.
Yeah, that much.

But hey, there are so few prospects for a 42 year old loser, I should try :cryblob:

First order of business, do an in-depth video about how Resident Evil 7 The End of Zoe is the best DLC. Ever. On every plane of existence. Totally objective, evidently.

Oh, I got everything worked up ! The next one is a 24 hours livestream where I just scroll my steam games and can't choose what to play.
Money printing itself :coffee-blob:

After many years of starting and stopping playing I finally beat Path of Exile 10 acts! Now I have access to the post game content and I don't think I'll spend too much time with it because it could require more time investment and I already feel satisfied with the game.

I'm slowly moving through Yakuza 6 and I'm taking my there as it's the final game with Kiryu.

What I did. Post game was getting harder and I unfortunately had more than my fill.
Still a good game, but there comes a point where enough is enough.

Happy to see that Snowrunner is coming to game pass on PC and consoles tommorrow along with the Steam and Switch release. Im personally picking it up on Steam like planned, but game pass can give people a check to see if they like the game or not as it's not a game for everyone.

Also, the game is very moddable and will grow larger with the Steam release no doubt and Im not sure if game pass PC wil support mod.io

Why are MMO's dying / New ones never taking off?

"I have no idea mate, oh, btw let's implement another paid mechanic so that the people don't need to play our MMO so much."

I got a feeling this is going to be another Amazon bomb, especially with the way Amazon seems to be trying to squeeze every penny out of people playing the game.

Amazon need to focus on gaining goodwill first, before adding mtx up the whazoo to their games.

I mean, they can afford it ffs
You have to fix them on the product first. With MTX up the wazoo from the start they are just showing that they don't believe in their product and just want to fleeze their customers.

Yup, that's true, selling quality of life features before release is bafflingly stupid to me.

You just know they'll be making things deliberately grindy etc to push these purchases

I wouldn't be shocked if the Amazon bean counters are starting to get impatient with their videogame studios and they need to start making money.

The new storyline added to Nier Replicant is really good. Sad but really good. Not to mention the new OST for the storyline is a banger as well.

Currently on the way to Ending B, hopefully I can finish it in several days.

Thankfully FFXIV is still safe from paid mechanic :coffee-blob:

They added the "skip content" potion years after the content was obsolete. Honestly, it was needed, the original games endgame questline before the first expansion was immense and you can't skip it! You need to do all those quests before you get into the expansion. And the skip option was demanded for years from the players
Sure, that is also a gameplay problem that could be solved ingame, but ehhhh, I'll allow it. They are clearly attached and proud of their storyline and they want it to "hurt" when someone is skipping it.

Yeah but it doesn't give you benefit over other people who doesn't use the skip potion. The boosts that they are talking in the tweet usually gives you benefit over other people like for example more opportunity to do trading (more slots, less taxes, etc).

I know.
Just saying that skipping years-old content is okay. Skipping not-released content is stupid.

Sell me on Days Gone, I know nothing about it
I quite liked it. It starts slow and your motorbike will run out of fuel in about 30s at the start but once the game opens up to the 2nd large area it gets a lot better. The Zombie hoards are pretty boring though, no where near as fun as advertised.

Yesterday was insomnia !

So I started Destroy All Humans on gamepass and... it’s very mediocre. I can’t hate it, the chara design is nice, the humor is funny sometimes, the game does just enough for me to not hate it at all and continue playing.
But talk about missed opportunities. The game barely has a plot and writing (good !) but the alien leader can’t shut his trap for one fucking minute. Side activities are limited, and mission design is far too rigid for now. I don’t want emergent gameplay or whatever, but those maps scream ‘let’s fool around in this little sandbox’ while the missions are too often time trials or very specific goals.

Again, I can’t hate it and will continue playing. I just hoped for that little something and it’s not there.
Yeah, I played a few hours of Destroy, it's fine enough. Not in a rush to get back to it.

It's like their approach to this project is to build a game around exploitative business practices.

It's not a bad game, mind you. But going from Kiwami 2 to 3 is rough.
Yeah, it's more a shock from the dated combat system more than anything.

I already enjoyed the substories, but the cabaret club in 3 seems a bit underdeveloped compared to later entries. They found their groove eventually though!
