Yeah I just have a Mac, I could use my old MacBook Pro with windows on it to try but doubt it could run it well.
Maybe it would work decently, the game runs on a toaster despite looking great.
For having played so many UE3 Korean MMOs, I wonder how they did it... and also wonder a bit if that's not the reason why it is a top down game; the engine is dogshit at draw distance, but that's not relevant with the way the game works... and they certainly made incredible set pieces with it.

And yeah Ascheroth the Morai dungeon was great, and also surprisingly more twisty and smarter than the average MMO dungeon, didn't find all the secret rooms though.

Maybe once Proton on Linux settles, with a very high number of game running perfectly, Valve will port it to Mac too. Wine itself should work on macOS too. The bigger issue would be getting Vulcan support. Maybe Valve could revisit their shim from Vulcan to Metal again.
Yeah that would be the dream! Wine 7 works on Mac but setting it all up is little too complicated for me. So if valve brought little of that proton magic I would be so happy!

Lost Ark levelling is so boring though.
I could just blow away monsters for hours, the combat is that good, but the quest design, fucking hell is it stuck in the past. Feels kinda like FF14 in pacing actually... with less story.
It's even stupider when you look at endgame boss fights... which have more voice acting and more ridiculous cut scenes than the entire levelling experience...
My understanding is that Lost Ark leveling 1-50 is deprecated content, which is why they have simplified and sped it up a lot. Kind of like how World of Warcraft speeds up old content to get players to the latest expansion faster. That's why quests in Lost Ark give huge amounts of XP compared to killing monsters which makes it worth it to just skip fighting unless required. You'll also notice that you only ever have to get one of any quest item that drops from killing mobs and they seem to have a 100% drop rate too. It's all in service of getting you to the 'real game' quicker. I think I prefer this to the alternative which would have been 'go collect 12 boar tusks'.

I have to say, I've changed my mind on the adventurer's journal. It is an evil idea that is keeping me hostage in the first two continents. I spent a good 4 hours today just running around looking for mokoko seeds and named monsters and cooking ingredients and notes and what not. What is wrong with me...

If it's any consolation, you are not alone. I am still trying to fill in the starter region before moving on...

Dev: It's permanently EGS exclusive
Me:

Apparantly over on their discord, this was posted by the devs. No idea if its accurate but maybe Timmy will have issue a strongly worded Twitter statement and prevent this unlawful, disgusting, evil, and quite naughty event from happening.

Heh, good eye, I think the page just went live the minute you posted lolol

FTR, we are still contractually obligated to be lifetime exclusive to the Epic Games Store -- that hasn't changed

Buuuut... our console publisher, Freedom Games, wants to list the game as broadly as possible to engage community and track data

Nothing to announce yet, but the fact that we can get the Steam page up is a positive sign

We'll let you know more as we do!

I finished dying light 2 and I'm shocked at how bad the game was. I liked DL1 in 2015 but I felt there was very little evolution in this and it actually regressed in certain aspects. The world didn't feel nearly as satisfying to explore and the gear was mostly useless as is typical of AAA games trying to be RPGs when they're not. The parkour was better but I didn't think it could make up for the rest of the game, not after 7 years of progress in the genre.

But the story and writing....holy shit. You probably saw in reviews how bad it is but you really have no idea just how bad it is until you experience it. It's massively cut down from the ambition they showed in the 2019 demo and the choices they advertised in that video and in future media, how you could assign who gets the water and it would unveil a new district? Total BS in the end, it doesn't happen. Sure there are a couple water towers you can assign to 1 of 2 factions but it doesn't do anything huge like opening up a new area. It's mostly to decide what faction objects appear in the world and what perks you get.

You can tell throughout the game it was butchered and spliced together but it really shows in the ~2 hour epilogue sequence. For me at least, the game completely fell apart at the seams. Bugs and jank were turned up to 11: I had dialogue cutting out for other dialogue, after I cleared out a group of people an important NPC appeared in a scene wounded nearby as if he was there the whole time, then on my way to a marker Aiden randomly wanted to call an NPC I hadn't talked to since the early hours of the game (who parted on some pretty hostile terms lets just say that) which was like "wtf why is he calling him now?" but then even that got interrupted by other events. Then on the final boss fight the boss glitched into objects 3 times forcing me to die and restart and to top it all off the grand twist or reveal was hilariously bad, like David Cage tier writing I'm dead serious. And to finish it off, the cherry on this shit sundae, the boss says
the name of the game in a last speech, reminding me of the "we really are the last of us" meme
If that wasn't the last minutes of the game I'd have had to turn it off because I was done, I was howling with laughter.

It's sad and amazing how this turned out after what was a surprise good first game. Probably one of the worst gaming sequels I can think of.

Yeah.... while for me the parkour did help a lot in enjoying Dying Light 2... the final hours are a complete mess. When you reach the traditional "point of no return" warning.. things completely go to shit.

I think I had at least two freezes that forced me to restart the game and who knows how many less serious glitches.

And then in the middle of the “consequences” text slides, the game froze on a black screen. Restarted, did that sucky boss fight again, and the same thing happened. “Fortunately” when I was alt-tabbing out to try to find some solution it got unstuck (I think it took at least 3-4 minutes) and I was able to see the rest of that amazing ending story-wise ... ouch.

Again… I enjoyed the game more than most, but after these final hours even I hit the Uninstall button pretty fast.

Looking at numbers aka nobody is buying game on Epic Store so we need to see how screwed we are now that Epic money is gone and we pissed off Steam community.

Yeah thanks again to Kyougar for getting me around the restrictions for Lost Ark, the starting VPN and adding the game, then turning off VPN has kept the game in library and allowed me to play.
And by play I mean not play as the EU servers are chockablock with people. One day I will be able to create a character.

What does ‘legacy‘ EAC support mean ?
And does Persona being playable mean they have solved the codec issue ?

Curious to hear about this too. It seemed like this wasn't something Proton couldn't have fixed earlier without breaking some patents of codecs. There were talks of some crazy scheme of transcoding the videos and downloading those other versions when playing the game. Maybe it's that?

Derrick01 thats a real shame, i really liked dl1. It was fun, well put together, It wasn't without its faults but it was a lot of fun and i recently went back to it to play some dlc and had a blast. Will now probably wait on DL2 for it to be patched and cheap.

I have turned back to Kingdom Come: Deliverance which i played a bit of back when it launched. Im really liking it. As an RPG its got most things covered, quests/gear/money/adventure. I really like the main guy as well, hes a good lad. Getting used to the combat which is a bit wierd but i sort of get it and the more i train the better im getting so thats working i guess.

no, you already have VAT in Russia.
VAT would be applied to both domestic and foreign goods, the way that translation words it feels like it's a tax targeting foreign stuff specifically

Humble has Epic Games Store Celebration Bundle...

That Steam Review score under Amalur XD
this bundle has sold 6000 copies so far (launched Feb 10).

The Fuck Cancer Bundle (launched Feb 4) meanwhile has sold 64000 copies. The Myst bundle (Jan 28–Feb 11) sold 28000 copies.

Going well for them :p

Not sure how many people here play Neptunia games but a part of the plot for the games have involved the console wars.

It seems that they are now adding a character based off the PC for the game.

We now have a PC CPU goddess in the game (I don't think the previous games had that.
reading further on it ... it seems to be the PC CPU Sister ( aka handheld) and not Goddess .... so ultimately steamdeck-chan. (goddess probably in aswell just not yet announced)
Which also kinda make sense as the story is about handheld-chans venturing into PC-continent thats invaded by MobileOS-chans after the godesses (aka consoles) dissapeared :face-savouring-delicious-food:

Yea I'm not buying Sony releasing FW so fast on PC.

They haven't done Demon Souls or any other new thing since PS5 released. I don't see them rushing with FW just yet even if its ready in the pipeline.

Nvidia leaks had Returnal, Ratchet and Tsushima I believe. Those are probably next along with Uncharted collection and that bunch will take at least 2 years with how slow Sony is. So if HorizonFW comes it will be after 2024.
yeah i could maybe see them settling to 6 months later down the line , but i dont expect them to port anything ps5 before clearing through significant portion of pretty much done ps4 back catalogue ports like Suckboy, Sushi,BB or anything Insomniac

Is not like the other Epic "Games we haven't recouped the money yet" Bundle from some time ago (last year?) did much better.

E: This one is actually doing better, the other one didn't even crack 6k. Then again this has slightly better games

[Hidden content]
The previous Epic bundle was really the dregs of the epic store, this one is good. Would have bought it if it was steam keys.

Started playing Children of Morta. I should try out different characters before casting judgment I guess, but I do have to say that I'm surprised they made a sword character with a basic attack string of only two (!) consecutive attacks... And there's a slightly different attack you can do if you attack while blocking, but I think that's it? Maybe also coming out of the dodge that you can use every five seconds. I suppose this is something that might gets expanded as you level the character up or something, but it doesn't really feel good to play in any case. I think literally just adding a third attack to the string would've done a lot.
