Toxic pro pc gamers wanting more than 24 frames? your eyes can't even see that.
And microtransactions. But I haven't looked further into the complaints.Main complaints seem to be network errors and 30fps krypt/fatalities.
Yeah, it makes no sense. I hope there's a way to raise the fps cap on thati mean, i can understand fatalities - since there is no real interaction during those .... but krypt? there's ACTUAL gameplay there ... why the hell would you lock that at 30fps?! (and that's 100% on NRS ... QLOC only did what they were told to do)
A teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel to HuniePop revealing the main story for the game. Enjoy!
Exactly. He also said that the outcome of the storefront war will be determined by developers instead of consumers.Tim doesn't want healthy competition ... he wants absolute domination
he literally already said that in one of his tweets (or reddit posts, can't remember) ... where he said something along the lines of "i don't mind other stores existing in the future. origin will have ea games, uplay will have ubi games, steam will have valve games" ... i think he might've slipped there honestly, said just a bit too much ... but that's basically what he wants - total domination ... first party games on their respective stores, and everything else on egs
eh, there's no point ... doing that won't accomplish anything really ... either volvo will hide it ... or publishers will have one more "argument" against releasing their shit on steamThat reminds me, I have a couple of Obsidian games in my library, I think its time to leave negative reviews on them like I did for Ubisoft, 2k and remedy.
precisely ... that's why i'm saying they won't stop moneyhatting AAA games until the competition is dead ... sure, they might stop moneyhatting indies ... but i'm absolutely certain they'll try to get as many AAA games exclusive as possible, and it won't stop any time soon, not for a looooong timeExactly. He also said that the outcome of the storefront war will be determined by developers instead of consumers.
Nothing that Epic has done or said so far indicates that they are planning to offer healthy competition. They want to destroy Steam and take over their position. Randy Pitchford confirmed this as well.
The other problem is, the MC is always weak and needs protection (Collar x Malice might be an exception). Don't get me wrong, I like chivalry in normal doses, but something like Sweet Fuse is on the whole new level. What's the point of narrative-driven experience if every road leads to the damsel in distress situation?
The only otome I've played is Amnesia: Memories and "clover" scares me.
Just missed the Otome talk it seems.I'm keen to play London Detective Mysteria myself. Whenever the PC version releases.
I hope you are right! Ni3R and a NieR remaster (for PC) would be my ultimate E3 wishes.Square Enix is taking over Sony's E3 timeslot this year.
3 am in my timezone is a horrid time to reveal NieR 3
Even if Epic made huge inroads into PC Gaming and basically stole Valve's lunch, Steam would still generate enough profits to just be around. Outright killing all competition isn't realistic. I have to assume that Epic is driven by one thing: greed. And therefore their end plan for the Epic Store must be to get to a point where they can increase their cut to 30% (perhaps even above) and stop the moneyhats, as they eat into any profits they'd make.i don't think so, to be honest
i think their plan is to keep moneyhatting exclusives until all the competition is dead ... i mean - sure, they'll probably dump all indies in a year or two and just focus on the big games .. but other than that - i really don't think they'll stop until they either snuff out all the competition, or run out of money (which doesn't seem like it'll be the case for a VERY long time)
Ah shit I missed the otome talk tooHoly heck, over 220+ posts to catch up on in this thread alone since I checked last night.
Just missed the Otome talk it seems.
My problem with them also tends to be the general helplessness of the Heroine. I like it more when she is capable, strong, and decisive. Rosenkrantz mentioned Collar X Malice, and yeah, that's exactly the kinda otome protag I like. CxM is also in my top 3 for Otome games and I wish every single day that Iffy international would put it on PC as well.
Here is another Otome where the Heroine is supposed to be quite competent.
Though sadly no achievements or other Steam features. Just cloud saves.
I hope you are right! Ni3R and a NieR remaster (for PC) would be my ultimate E3 wishes.
Edit: Oh and hopefully some news on Babylon Falls. That's still coming to PC hopefully.
Don't worry, you aren't the only one. I bought MK11 mostly to play the story mode and single player content. Just remember there are also other people who suck at fighting games that are willing to play online with you.why am I always tempted to buy fighting games. I suck at them
Same here.why am I always tempted to buy fighting games. I suck at them
Part of the reason why I probably don't connect as much with fighting games any more is because I barely have any "offline" friends that still game regularly, so we no longer get together to play them.I didn't use to be super into fighting games. Like, I enjoyed BlazBlue, but I never really had anybody to play with. A couple of online friends picked up BBCF during the last summer sale and for a good few weeks that's the game we were all playing... and I guess that's what got me hooked. Really you just need that first game to hook you, and the rest will come a lot easier.
Great post. I never really thought to check the indie scene for these things, but then again, the art-style's are one of the biggest draws to me. Like you just don't really see that kinda art they use in Otome games in too much else. Nowadays everything more mainstream is all about this "moe" crap/style.Ah shit I missed the otome talk too
Stuff.
Yeah same here.why am I always tempted to buy fighting games. I suck at them
Epic has enough money to keep this going indefinitely thanks to Fortnite. Valve makes around 8% from games, and we don't know how much of that goes into their maintenance (e.g., their servers). We'll have to see if Valve's war chest + the hits it'll get will be able to outlast Tim Sweeny's hubris.Even if Epic made huge inroads into PC Gaming and basically stole Valve's lunch, Steam would still generate enough profits to just be around. Capitalism is evil, but it's not hard to comprehend.
Same. I'm just really attracted to the aesthetic, but I'm too worried about my hand health to go all into them.why am I always tempted to buy fighting games. I suck at them

Stuff like this is why I'm pushing for everyone to use nginx/Mono-FastCGI instead.I've been debugging the whole morning and the fucking thing worked again by restarting the IIS
I was just about to add these into my wishlist, only to discover that they're already there. If anyone wants some indie otoges to play without damsels in distress I highly suggest:
Haha, me too. Doesn't help I didn't finish the last few VN I played. Sometimes I only read one route and I'm done. Or not even that...(I honestly want to play more otome games but I dunno, starting VNs just intimidates me like starting shows does.)
That's why I ended up not buying MK11 . I don't have the skill (or the concentration) needed for fighting games, so I usually just play the campaign mode if there is one. Gonna get MK11 once it's like 50% off and play the campaign then.why am I always tempted to buy fighting games. I suck at them
My understanding about the "SJW" whining is that most of it revolves around putting more clothes on the female fighters and Jax's Ending.Sounds like a lot of the bad ratings on MK are for shitty performance in the Krypt, 30FPS Fatalities, and SJWs?????? Where the hell did that last one come from?
Its a fucking murder orgy fighting game, what possible political statements could be happening here? LOL. The entirety of MK lore and history is about making a joke about how much lore they could put in a silly fighting game, how can anyone take any of that seriously in a game where they have farting ninjas, a dude who gets his arms ripped off (and gets sweet cyber replacements), and every character gets brutally murdered after each match but is fine the next round? Seriously, what a joke.
Yikes. Well glad the actual fighting sounds good if the monetization is terrible then I can just wait till the DLC is out and the base game in on sale so I can play the story mode for cheap lol.My understanding about the "SJW" whining is that most of it revolves around putting more clothes on the female fighters and Jax's Ending.
It's just as pathetic as it sounds tbh.
Honestly, you could. Depending on what class(es) you're trying to do, the creation could take a really long time. PoE2 specifically because of the dual classing stuff can take FOREVER. I honestly just looked up some cool multiclass ideas and went with those. I wanted to get to playing rather than obsession over Character creation.Spent 1 hour creating my character in Pillars of Eternity and I feel I should've spent even more
I was thinking the same lately. When my ban is up from Era, there were a few friends I planned to invite here via PM, and they are quite fond of VN's as well.Speaking of VNs, we need a VN thread up in here.
Count me in, I would like to know more about VNsI was thinking the same lately. When my ban is up from Era, there were a few friends I planned to invite here via PM, and they are quite fond of VN's as well.

Speaking of VN, the recent release of Eve Rebirth Terror reminds me that best works of Kanno Hiroyuki x Ryu Umemoto shouldn't be lost to the entropy of time (i.e. someone should do a remaster of some kind for Xenon/Desire)I was thinking the same lately. For a little guidance, magnify each crew member. There is a little question mark near the profile panel of each crew member. Not much, but it's a start.Played Obra Dinn for ~about 1 hour. It's... wild. It's almost a little intimidating with the freedom and complete lack of guidance. But not bad.
It's looks crazy in the (Black and White) LCD mode on my TV since it has local dimming.
So the game doesn't need to connect to a server for progress? Thats great, because micro-transaction sucks. Just cheat the shit out of the game! Too bad not all know about trainersOnce again, a trainer saves the day. A trainer was released for MK11 that lets you modify the cost to open chests in the Krypt, you can even set a chest to a negative value and the chest pays you to open it. God I love PC and being a filthy casual cheater.
And an option for infinite health for those horrible overtuned Towers of Time.
Wow, had no idea they were still making those games. Looks like your wish came true, because they did make a remaster of Desire:Speaking of VN, the recent release of Eve Rebirth Terror reminds me that best works of Kanno Hiroyuki x Ryu Umemoto shouldn't be lost to the entropy of time (i.e. someone should do a remaster of some kind for Xenon/Desire)
Cheat Engine to the rescue again!
I've been cheating my way through some old PS1 RPGs (Suikoden 1 & 2) and let me tell you it rules. No grinding ever. Money is whatever you want. I leave the battle system mostly alone but just let myself buy all weapon upgrades and armor and the game is much more fun.
Oh wow. That is great. I'll consider getting it whenever DMM goes on sale again.Wow, had no idea they were still making those games. Looks like your wish came true, because they did make a remaster of Desire:
El Dia
Props to them for keeping the art style the same. They really messed up Yu-No with those redesigns.
Wow, really?Once again, a trainer saves the day. A trainer was released for MK11 that lets you modify the cost to open chests in the Krypt, you can even set a chest to a negative value and the chest pays you to open it. God I love PC and being a filthy casual cheater.

Of course, why wouldnt you?Wait you can use cheat engine with ps1 games
